  1. I was definitely a travel agent way before I was a USAF pilot. Hotels for the crew, check. Cars for the crew, check. Oh wait, Andrews rental car place closed at noon. Ok, we'll call three taxis. Taxi driver got arrested trying to come through the gate. Can I hitchhike to the off base rental car center? DTS approver wants to know why I didn't get a u-drive. Ok, hand it all in 14 hours later. What's that Eng? We're broke? Ok, I'll get our cars back. Let's see if the hotel has rooms - wait - it's Friday night. Now I put on my lawyer hat because the load just called from jail.

I gotta change my LinkedIn profile. “Senior C-Suite Executive executing executables and delivering deliverables on time and on target.”
  3. Sounds like they took reasonable precautions to avoid injury or damage to persons or property.
  4. Certainly plausible. His belly-up-ness struck me first, too.
  5. Not a fighter guy but incredible experience. Seems like he lived and breathed this stuff from childhood. https://www.toratoratora.com/pilots-bio/craig-hutain
  6. A rejoin is a skill taught to UPT students 4 months into training with 6-9 hours of formation flying experience. That's the wrong question. The question is what went wrong that a guy that has done thousands of rejoins in dozens of aircraft suddenly screws it up? And my experience tells me the answer has a lot more to do with human factors (rushing, distraction, medical, etc) than experience or skill.
  7. It’s gotta be a serious passion project. There’s no financial or family reason I can think of to do it. You do get to do some cool shit in mil flying, but most of that you can do civilian, too, and turn it off and on as you feel like it.
  8. I don't think it's as nefarious as it might seem. Air Race/Show is simply an established category of "Purpose of Flight" under General Aviation Operations. It's likely as innocuous as the investigator checking boxes on his iPad and this is the one that best fit.
  9. If you’re a T-1 Reservist living near CBM looking for a PIRR gig and you want to stay near CBM, DM me.

My opinion is those are too personalized to gift. Holsters are like bras. Both gotta fit the way you want or they’re coming off. So I only buy uncomfortable ones for my wife.
  11. She is trying to convince us just that - she's changed her position. She's an inverse Charlie Crist and I think her real staying power will be about the same.

A training class. 101 if they’re new to guns. Something fun and tacticool if they’re experienced.

Stayed ARC for the benefits and I’m happy I did that, but regret leaving AD? Not even a little bit.

If only they’d change that. https://collegefootballplayoff.com/news/2022/9/2/bom-votes-12-team-playoff.aspx
  15. Oh, that's racist, too. You have to raise cows to eat hamburgers. Cow farts cause global warming. Global warming disproportionately affects people of color. Ergo, hamburgers are racist.
  16. Pompeo wasn't in the seat during that part. Blinken had taken over by then. Pompeo's certainly going to distance himself from events after January 2021.
  17. Plenty of civilian flow hires got seniority numbers weeks or months ahead of actually starting class.
  18. They’re gonna make some beautiful kids!
  19. So a 5 on DD785? Just call it that. A 5 is no joke and I sense caginess in you, bro. I wouldn't hire you. Hopefully you'll be more forthcoming with an interview board. With a 5 on DD785 you'll need a waiver at the very least.
  20. Damage to the main shaft at 6969 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. Engineers aren't sure how long it will stay erect and residents are ordered to pull out. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/miami-beach/article267933272.html

  22. Yep. Vote with your wallet. Weird thing is, he still seems to care a whole lot about the voting habits of a state he's boycotting. I'd love to see him fully boycott GA. He can boycott it so thoroughly that he can pretend it doesn't exist.
  23. Boycotting Georgia over a voting bill that had nothing to do with him for one. (BTW, Georgia broke voting turnout records last week.) I know, I know...you'll say that's not interference. I'm glad to hear you're ok with the Koch brothers' influence. Reading is hard, eh?
  24. Funny, that’s the same Mark Hamill that felt it necessary to interfere with democracy here at home 2 years ago. Weird.
