ALPA makes comparisons each time a company is in negotiations. Here's a public one: https://www3.alpa.org/portals/alpa/jetblue2/files/JetBlue Contract Comparison March 2015L - web.pdf start around slide 20. edit: To understate it, vacation doesn't work anything like active duty leave. If you don't have a trip on your schedule, you go where you want to go. Want 2 weeks in Hawaii in June? You'll only get paid for those 2 weeks if you bid and are awarded official vacation, but there are 1000 ways to get those 2 weeks free. Once you have some seniority, there's almost no reason you can't do what you want when you want. Only question is whether you're getting paid for those days off or not.

I live in airline base and I'd only call one other airline guy a close friend. Everyone else is from church, kid's soccer, Scouts. Especially if you commute, you probably will have zero airline friends. I'll say it was a little lonely the first year or two after leaving the AF cocoon. Nobody I met (except one sheriff's deputy) could remotely relate to my last decade+. But, the longer I'm out, the less I can relate to my active time and the more I relate to my civilian friends. Now that I'm not dealing with deployments, PCSs, MPF, and the latest OPR drama, I relate more to my civilian friend's preteen problems, their public school gripes, their IRA strategies, and that spot in their yard where grass just will not grow. None of those things are airline-related, so they're easy to build relationships around. I assume you're a reasonably well adjusted officer. You'll do fine.

Article says Land Cruiser. Not the average driver, either.

So... you're saying "Toneyville" means nothing to you?

Take everyone with the right DNA from the regionals and give everyone that applies to Purdue, ERAU, NDSU, MGA, every HBCU, with the right DNA a scholarship and a CJO into your ab initio program. Pay for their 1500 hours and put them in indoc. There will be way more non-white males than females, but it won't be hard to meet that PR target.

I bet they weren't current for Green Dot. See what happens! Bystanders, all of them! -
A little advice needed

I’d let the AF train me. -
I finished AWC a few weeks ago. Points were awarded in PCARS after each class.

Perfect, thank you both. 🎣

Wide open as far as location/river/part of the state. We don't know enough to narrow it down and the location is secondary to the experience. We'll have to fly airlines in, so that's the only LIMFAC. Let's say drivable from ANC or FAI, or one hop from those hubs on some kind of scheduled service. I mentioned trolling, but my dad isn't interested in that this time. Wants to cast and reel and might bring his fly rod.

I'm planning a trip to Alaska in June with my dad and 10 year old son. We'd like to fish freshwater for salmon, trout, etc. We need suggestions on outfitters/guides. Ideally we'll find a lodge close to or even on the river we fish. Fly away day trips are an option, but no tent overnights. Google results are overwhelming and personal experiences are always better than anonymous reviews, so thanks in advance for your sage wisdom!

And it’s all answers to the wrong questions. 90% of these new accessions are still going to bail ASAP for greener pastures.

Posters on other forums really really like the G fund for their conservative holding. There’s nothing like it in the retail world so they say keep your TSP for that. I’d like to consolidate accounts but haven’t pulled the trigger for that reason.

Well shit, there's your problem. You can't Ctrl+F the -1 if you misspell "tire." -
My APR was 2.266% with everything possible rolled in and 10% VA. You don't need 100%.

CAE has had that on blast the past week or so. https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2020-11-09/cae-forecasts-need-260000-new-pilots-through-2029 Their motives are questionable.

Props to Jon on another recent refi closing. Got the 2.25 he's talking about and Trident's portion of the closing went flawlessly. Serena the Processor has been awesome, too, especially when the other non-Trident parties have been frustrating.

I haven’t done that but I’ve had good luck simply calling the appropriate ARTCC ops desk for other stuff. https://atccommunication.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/ARTCCphone.pdf

I can't help you with Brandman, but here's some unsolicited advice from a has-been finding himself in a potentially tough spot. Get a degree employers will recognize and one that will be useful to you if/when you need it. I did like everyone else and wasted my time and money on an ERAU/Touro/Phoenix masters. Now I'm in a position where I would love to show an employer I can do stuff and I don't have a degree worth putting on a resume. I'd love to go back and tell my Capt self to spend a little extra time and get an MBA from a school everyone's heard of. ASU, Nebraska, FSU, Oklahoma State, CSU all have online MBAs. So you can't get a brick and mortar Harvard MBA. At least get something from a school an employer won't have to google (because they won't).
