I personally really like his act. I disagree with him in topics and have seen him interact with people in the bar who call him out. He’s polite, respectful and will share his view and admit it’s not infallible. Some people just love to hate leadership regardless. I respect the fact he’ll engage with the peasants. That’s more than many generals would do.

I’d love all the KC-135s to have working lights and crews not be afraid to turn them on over the desert. You are at much higher risk doing lights out ops from your receivers than any ground threat. And if you ever get the chance to brush up on HVA killers...do it. You’ll see that in today’s world. There is very little you can do other than stay waaaaaay away. Can someone help me with airline pay math. I hear stories about the pay beating down USAF badly but there must be something I’m missing. Let’s take a 5th yr Southwest airline F.O. Making $150 an hour. At 75hrs per month that’s only $147,600 per year. I make more than that without a bonus. Do pilots generally fly more, is there hidden pay etc? I’m satisfied with the UPT product. Are they overall as good aviators as 1990....maybe not. Do they need to be? No. It’s a different game. UPT standards over 30 years don’t mean much. I taught t-38s a decade plus ago and we washed kids out for stuff that isn’t even deemed relevant now. I was in my first B course 18 years ago today. Little to none of it applies to what I’m doing now. What took 12 jets to go back then, I can do with 4 today, safer and faster. Lots of old people decry change. I welcome it. Anyone remember the market of 06ish and what happened during the correction? I had a ton of friends underwater on mortgages when the market corrects.
