I have to admit I know a few people that actually spend their downtime doing such service projects 24/7 (it seems), so I'm saying it's impossible: 8+ hours on Sat & Sun + 2 hours each weekday equals about the same. Still, it sounds dubious and it makes me question why this person is CGO of the year if their lead bullet is that they did something other than AF-related activities.

I personally took it as an honor I was happy to bestow upon the colors of our nation. I never felt a single bit of regret when I pushed past the crowds waiting at the door, walked outside, put on my cover, and gladly saluted (this included winter Minot evenings where the windchill was definitely well below zero). FWIW, we came up with all sorts of "morale projects" for the noobs to do that made the squadron both look better and function better. Make them put your squadron patch/morale logo/fun phrase on the surface, sign their work, and they'll be happy jump right in.

There's no reason to piss off 4-7 other people in a confined space for 14+ hours...(technique only) Vitamin I usually takes care of that problem, but only 6.9 hours? Are you kidding me? Our long-duration missions are usually WAY longer than that.
