  1. Quote from a friend: Friend: "How did he get into that suit?" Me: "What?" Friend: "How on earth did he get into a suit that tight with brass cajones the size of basketballs?"
  2. I was thinking the same thing I was wondering what the jetstream would do to him if he fell through it...though that could explain the spin. Anyone know what caused the spin? I can't wait to see the view from his helmet cam.
  3. Well, you'd be wrong. It happened FIFY
  4. I did a commander-directed investigation and learned a LOT more about the process. 1. You have a right to talk to ANY IG within your chain of command: the base IG, NAF IG, MAJCOM IG, or AF IG. Local IGs indeed answer to the local commander and if you feel the local IG can't be impartial, you have a right to speak to any of the aforementioned IGs. If anyone impedes your access to an IG or even alludes to it, they can be prosecuted and the AF JAG Corps takes this one pretty seriously if it ever comes to trial; it can be a career ender. 2. You can also talk to your congressman/senator with the same level of impunity. Prosecution for violating this is worse than the above. If all 7 of you have different congressmen/senators, going to all of them en masse may be a viable tactic to get results. 3. It's possible criminal negligence may be involved here. I would HIGHLY recommend keeping your current commander in the loop and consider talking to JAG. Fuckin' Two Doesn't surprise me. They had a Captain get passed over for Major because someone didn't want to type up a PRF.
  5. ^^^ Valid Sarcasm dude. Sarcasm. and seriously, does it fucking matter if it were in reference to the major's board? The same principles are there.
  6. This is a trend item...probably not really important... Those guys in a "Training Unit" are probably just washbacks who haven't made it after 7 years...it's probably time to cut them loose
  7. ...more like the E-8 or a VC-137
  8. I have not personally had that experience, but I do know someone who was in the EXACT same situation solely because the FTU opted to submit a blank PRF (WTF!?!). Even in that situation, where someone was completely negligent in their official duties, he was not able to appeal it. If you want POC info, please PM me. FWIW, he made 1 Above the zone the following year with flying colors
  9. What was the topic of this thread again?
  10. "Uh...I work with a newspaper/FoxNews/CNN/MSNBC/Reuters/AP. These all clearly appear to be bombers. What kind of bombers are they and what kind of nuclear weapons do they carry?"
  11. I see why your mom sleeps with everyone...
  12. Standard beating of a dead horse: Rainman's technique:
  13. Good Lord, if it will just get you to shut the fuck up, I SCREWED UP AND PUT IN A "K" WHEN I SHOULDN'T HAVE. YOU ARE RIGHT. I AM WRONG. Congratulations, you have won a battle over a fucking letter.
  14. Keep trying. Something can be both incorrect (wrong) and done inadvertently (by accident). Seriously, give it a fucking rest.
  15. Could have been a mechanical malfunction too. I admit this is idle speculation. As for G-LOC vs G-lock. yup I added a "k" inadvertently. Congratulations ,you just passed the requirements to wear the Advanced Executive Officer badge. Wear is mandatory per AFI36-2903 BaseOps sup para 6.9.69
  16. You have to use small words around Rainman... Be honest on your forms and don't sugar-coat anything. Just tell it like it is and answer the questions honestly. I'm not sure about how it functions with OTS, but that is rightly something to consider. As for your jobs, that's not really much of concern. You can explain that your boss doesn't work there anymore and they are far more concerned with your conduct and reasons for leaving than whether or not a supervisor of 4 weeks liked you. the no-call, no-show thing may be problematic, so be up front about it and explain your reasonings (if applicable...if I was young and dumb was the reason, then just say "I offer no excuses for my conduct" and only explain if further queried) Good luck
  17. Given that angle, I'm thinking G-lock, same as what happened to the Blue Angels Pilot
  18. Well this is going to get worse before it gets better...
  19. Or you could use several hundred thousand dollars a year with no return on investment 30 years * $500K = $15M in losses so which is really worse? spending $600K over 30 years or $15M? I don't like a lot of these "green" projects, but this makes economic sense
  20. Isn't there some irony over a tanker losing an appendage and only having baskets to "catch" aircraft (three at once!)?
