  1. I didn't make it. But no didn't know he's 38. DAMN!
  2. How can I get a nice long TDY to Israel again?
  3. Wow...that is pretty extreme IMO. I concur with Nsplayr. Odds were they just pulled a triple shift or whatever crappy deal is standard for those dudes and the bus was several hours late. If they were in a "secured" REST area...whats the big deal? It's not like they were at the tittie bar. So Big Blue does what it always does and throws the crew under the bus. I would really like to know some background on this...rather than they just "fell asleep." But why? I mean I actually thought these shifts were only pulled by two people anyway...

It really depends on you. I know guys that spent maybe $1 a day. Granted they were in scrounge mode the entire time and probably forgot they graduated from college and could afford real food...I knew a dude that hit up SAM's club the first weekend there and probably spent $40 dollars the entire month. Other dudes would be going out to eat 2x a day and would easily blow by their per dium. I would probably eat at the golf course every other day, the chow hall 90% of the dinners during the week, and go off base for the weekend. So figure you are spending no more than $50 during the week on food and then whatever you want for the weekend. My average bill at the chow hall was less than $5 a meal. This doesn't include booze.

    bravocompanyusa.com Is having a fan-fricken-tastic sale on MagPul's for Ar-15's! I just bought 4 w/the exposed window. Cheapest I have seen.
  6. So if it's defective RAIM...why is the airplane still invisibile to radar?
  7. My bet? Nothing. We will sit back and "talk" and let someone else do the dirty work. Even if that means Chavez does it and we end up with another hostile dictator.
  8. While that statement is true, it isn't necessary to have a 30MM GAU-8A to be an effective CAS platform. Better qualities are loiter time, slow speed characteristics, and survivability.

Wow that seems like a KICK ASS company.

What about a squadron of T-6 Texan's? Can't forget those bright yellow painted bad boys....

But it has to have a tricky knot, otherwise it doesn't count.
  12. Looks like they are buying/gifted them: "Lieutenant Ramaki will continue flying training in his next aircraft, the Italian-built C-27A Spartan when the Afghanistan military receives the first of 20 aircraft late this summer."

Wait...you mean the 5 billion we gave ACORN isn't helping?!?
  14. BAMF! I remember dodging those stupid things when I was working as a Skydiving pilot. Those guys were fucking nuts...

I got a picture of it here at CAFB. Pretty weird to watch...and a very shallow climb out angle.

Ooo. Missed that line. I am a smart one.

When I got my last medical in 2007 the rules were 36 months under 40 years old until the 3rd class expired. Now it says its good for 60 months. Is my medical grandfathered in under the 60 month rule? Thanks! And what Google turned up: https://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/m.../faq/response4/

Apparently there is a Pawn shop near CAFB that has 380 in stock. If you want I can pursue it and we can work something out.

Both this thread and that are full of win!
  20. It's not an armed naval vessel. It's a USNS, not a USS. Actually a pretty big difference. Surprised a pirate prison ship wouldn't have a Frigate, Destroyer, or Cruiser near by though.

Going on three weeks for a travel voucher here. Went in to bitch yesterday and the entire system is down. All they can do I see that it go to its destination. And hooray for me I am turning in another tomorrow. Wohoo!
  22. It's just perpetuating the stereotype at this point. But seriously...yea there has to be another side to this coin. And very very gay of the Air Force to not give him two more years for retirement...dude served 18 years honorably (atleast appears so). And he wasn't knocking down the closet if no-one else in his base, or even the unit, knew he was homosexual.
