Um...no. I am annoyed the KC-X procurement is so jacked up...but I am certainly not jealous/annoyed at anyone flying the Airbus. (I am slightly jealous of the Italians and Japanese for rocking the KC-767 though).

Our class get a serious verbal lashing during our track select for bringing in outside alcohol. I mean there was no warning or anything subtle, it was just some evil hawk screeching at us. Then, for our assignment night, we went in to ask if we could bring in unopened bottles (not to be consumed at the club) to be gifted to the studs who got UAVs and FAIPed. That was a total PITA. Took about 2 weeks of weaseling to get that "approved" by that harpy. Seriously, probably one of my more painful UPT experiences was dealing with the club.

Yes, them getting put on the same one is a coincidence of pure chance. Was them missing their flights a coincidence? No way to tell. It's very easy to miss a flight...just don't show up. But having cell phone duct taped to bottles in their luggage? Please enlighten me on what purpose that has. I would LOVE to know.

My buddies biggest complaint about the ACU seems to be the thickness/quality of the fabric. It seems to rip very easily, where as the BDU (ripstop/etc) was much more durable. Also they stain incredibly easy, and then he pretty much can't wear them again. The ACU also lacks a lot of the color and concealment qualities of MARPAT and especially of MultiCam. When I helped him out on a Ranger FTX as OPFOR it was extremely easy to spot the dudes in ACU's trying to sneak up and set up an LP/OP (granted it was a woodland type environment).

THIS! The two plasma's in our flight room are nice...we haven't used them in...well ever. And we just got a nice new podium. Not sure why, because we already had one. New computers though? Nah. Gotta go through comm or some bullshit for that. Always money to buy stuff we don't need, of course.
