Welcome to the left’s version of “saving democracy”. This why democracy is horrible…it’s literally the equivalent of two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.
-
I’ll try and help you out… Either we own animals and can do what we want with them, or we can’t. If you eat meat then an “animals rights” person would tell you that you’re immoral. So the line has artificially been drawn to satisfy X but not Y…just don’t pretend that animals have any rights. And as I previously said, I don’t support what this DoD official did, but yet I have friends who hunt purely for sport…are they also immoral? Why is one legal and not the other?
-
Words matter though. And there are millions of people in this country that do make that argument…PETA members for example. There are even those that are telling us that the Kentucky Derby is cruel to animals. I don’t support what this guy did whatsoever, but if you can kill animals for sport alone, it only goes to show that there is no such thing as “animal rights”.
-
Ummm, I’m all about hunting animals and then eating them. And I don’t know how many people who like to hunt are trying to kill people and eat them. A little devils advocate here, but I think you need a better argument.

This is a commander type problem to solve…unfortunately the member receives the consequences of it not being worked out. Any commander worth their salt would make this a priority as it involves pay.

I have a good friend, retired AF pilot, who does this on the side for a reasonable fee. She can do it all remotely as well. Send me a pm if you want the info.

Discussion on The Pilot Network on FB about AAMS going away very soon. Says that when it goes away, the only way you can get your line by line sortie info is through the 1Cs…but their system only goes back 18 months.

Are they as great as our professional finance folks or comm types?

Truly amazing how this doesn’t anger the vast majority of Americans… https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2023/09/16/watch-youre-free-to-go-border-patrol-releases-hundreds-of-illegal-aliens-into-san-diego/

Personally I see this as a good thing. Some people are finally waking up to the nonsense. They’re also realizing that their “neighbors” don’t support their values and vote in (at the local and state level) politicians who actively go against what is important to them. I keep hearing from the left that we supposedly have more in common than not…and then these are the same people who say F your values, we’re doing it this way. The right does it as well with abortion and a few other issues, so I can see how a die hard progressive wouldn’t want to live in South Dakota or Idaho.

If housing is (or going to soon be) so unaffordable that the vast majority of people won’t be able to afford one…or won’t be able to afford one without working until they’re near death/old age, then there has to be very large bad visible 2nd and 3rd order affects to the economy. If you’re spending so much for housing, rent or mortgage, then you have less money to buy clothes, eat out, fix your car, buy a new cell phone, etc. That means that these businesses will earn less, hire fewer people, and on and on. All that most definitely affects the economy—and yes, it will then most definitely affect the stock market. So again, my question is when? I’m not buying this “stealth crash”. I think we’ll eventually see the signs I mentioned above…but again, when?
-
I don’t doubt that all the massive spending, policies/regulations making products more expensive, energy situation, etc is good. My question is when are we going to notice this massive economic downturn? If you say now, then I would very much disagree. While I don’t think the economy is good, we’re not in 2001 or 2008/2009 levels yet.
-
Appreciate the data. My question is this: When does all this start that it becomes obvious to a majority of Americans that we’re in trouble? Predictions are great and all, but if the person making them can’t be fairly accurate with the timeline then the predictions are near useless…just take a look at the global warming/climate change nonsense predictions over the last 30+ years.

Progressives being progressives… They care more about keeping parents from knowing if their young children don’t know what pronouns to use vs allowing Americans to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. https://www.breitbart.com/2nd-amendment/2023/09/09/new-mexico-gov-michelle-lujan-grishami-ssues-order-suspending-concealed-carry-self-defense/

They just released another message about the issue on their FB page…this time 3 pages of new policies, etc. They’re in full damage control right now. Who do they think their customers are? I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy one their products.

Liberty Safe just royally F’d themselves… https://www.breitbart.com/2nd-amendment/2023/09/06/liberty-safe-gave-fbi-access-code-to-january-6-protesters-safe/

If you’re referring to Medicare, those who created it are pretty much long gone.

This is why healthcare/insurance needs to be removed from employment. It was originally used as a way of bargaining with union employees as a way to avoid taxes, etc. Just pay people their wage/salary and then allow them as people to find their own healthcare and insurance. Also, we need to treat healthcare and health insurance as two totally different things. Treat routing health care (the flu, basic bone breaks, strep, basic prescriptions, etc) like basic car needs (ie oil change, new battery, etc)—you pay out of pocket. And treat health insurance for treatment that will not be used often, if ever (major surgeries, cancer treatments, costly disease prescriptions) like car insurance for when you have a bad accident/total your car…you have a high deductible that you can save for in case it’s needed but won’t go bankrupt as well. I’m sure I could have worded it better, but I think you get the idea. Expecting great healthcare for a much less direct cost to you means that someone else is going to be picking up the tab.

Then don’t voluntarily use those organizations/businesses.

Pilot Attrition in the US Military

I think I speak for just about everyone here when I say that your first post is not what an aviation enthusiast would first ask. Political leadership first question because you’re an aviation enthusiast?—really? We’ll moderate the content for the time being. -
Come on now man, you can’t really blame someone for wanting to pretend the flew helos.

Pilot Attrition in the US Military

Dude, you can tell people you’re working for the bobs and they want the info…you don’t need to make up some story how you’re just a curious random civilian, who just joined the forum within the last week…and your first post is about what we all think about retention, readiness, and the political leadership. -
Just go out on a witch hunt in order to give out an Article 15…oh wait, you don’t have that authority. Air Force got something right. By the way, are you aware of any commander who made a list of people who weren’t wearing masks when ordered, and then when the vaccine became mandatory, checked it against IMR status?…and then gave out Article 15 to said members? If you wanted and were willing to do something so draconian that not even a handful of actual commanders carried out, well, then like I said…the Air Force actually got something right.
-
Then you would think the vaccine makers would have been able to have done a better job making this vaccine.
