Yeah. But something has to give. I dont think there is an easy fix. Educating Americans about what is fucked with the status quo, electing people who care about helping others (not lining their pockets) enacting some sort of term limit for congress, making lobbying illegal and a bunch of other changes will help. Problem is, how do you convince the rule makers to change the rules? We cant. Voting doesn't work. It's a lie to make us feel like we have some sort control of our Country's destiny. We don't. We are just being kept pacified with the current system. We (Americans) argue against each other for the stupidest shit I believe humanity has ever seen: bonus holes, abortion, pushing a crazy agenda that helps a very small portion of society (trans movement) and etc... All the while, the middle class is disappearing and the dollar is capable of buying less and less. We have a complulsive liar as our Commander and Chief.. How can he pass a security clearance when there is actual evidence of him telling lies? The other option, has banged a porn star while he was still married. What about all of the rich dudes who banged underage girls at Epstein's Island? Brushed under the rug. Our government is corrupt. This country will fail if we stay on the current course.

If we the people can’t be represented without access to millions of dollars, then it’s broke. Look at who we get for presidential candidates, senators, judges and etc… It’s broke. Liars who can’t pass a budget while making useless laws and dabbling with inside trading, that’s what’s occupying the seats set aside for leading this nation. We really need term limits for Congress. I think this would help. But it will be really hard to convince the people who have the power change this, to act.

How many times has the Earth heated and cooled? How many times were humans involved? I don't think we're going to kill ourselves off due to using petroleum. If the Earth starts to heat up, us humans aren't going to stop it. Im not saying we should litter and blow poison into the sky with reckless abandon, I'm saying that it's possible that both sides of the aisle use "Global Warming" as the gotcha I'm smarter than you argument. Just in case anyone else is reading this thread with the same question. I spent 20 years and 4 days active. 3 as mx, 6 as a boom and the remainder as a pliot. To me, the life experience I gained, good and bad, would not have been possible in any other profession. I saw the world and all of the different types of boobies. I slept inside F-16 intakes to keep out of my bosses' view. I was able to learn how to work in extreme conditions with people of all walks of life. I hurt bad guys and helped a few people having a bad day. I served my country in that shit hole we call the middle east. I can walk with my head high because I did some bad ass shit (things you can't do as a civilian) and I know most of the people I served with walked the walk as well. The AF and aviation isn’t for everyone, but for those of you with the love of flight and love for your countrymen, the AF is capable of providing a life built around this. It's far from a perfect military organization but it's the only place I know (along with the Navy, USMC and USA) where you can legally fire your weapons while flying lol.

Dude, I loved ASBC. As a prior E with 9 years AD under my belt, 6 of which were spent as a boom. ASBC gave me a chance to restart the liver after my stay at OTS. Lol. I taught my class what was important, binge drinking through the non flying bullshit TDYs lol.
