But you trying to say that Kamala would have been some sort of centrist breath of fresh air and that we wouldn’t be getting these far left candidates if she had been in power is just laughable. She is one of those people! Did you pay attention to the Biden presidency? His cabinet was jammed full of far left insanity. The same type of clowns winning primaries right now. I can’t believe I have to repeat this over and over, but Kamala being in charge of the border and allowing it to be overrun by mass human migration is immediate grounds to never be considered for any political office ever again. It’s not a conspiracy to say that they left the border open on purpose. In the short term they were able to dumb these people in big blue cities that were losing population and would have likely had census changes that had political districting to impacts. In the long term, the left genuinely believes that skin color matters, and that brown people vote for them. Whether it was through an eventual amnesty or just child birth, the left believes mass human migration of poor dark skinned people will get them votes in the future. It’s frankly pretty sick. There was nothing more far left than what they did with the border and Kamala was the head of that effort. Can you imagine if we were nearly two years deep into her Presidency right now and the border was in the same state it was pre Trump. That is a wildly scary prospect.

Both parties struggle at that in many ways, but the democrats are putting nobody forward that even comes close. Supporting this quagmire feels like peak sports team style support for your preferred political side. I voted for Trump all three times and I am still thankful to this day that Kamala Harris is not the president. But there has been plenty to criticize the Trump admin about this term as well, the Iran shit show being chief among them.

Milton’s post is spot on. I don’t care how politically incorrect it is to say, the next war in Europe is more likely to be caused by Islam. Putin and Russia is a side show. A cultural civil war in Western Europe would be devastating but is absolutely a risk on the path they’re on. Islam is not compatible with western values. The sooner we realize that as a collective society, the better western society will be.

It’s a fascinating shift in American politics to see what is essentially “old school” 1990s Democrat policies - union supportive protectionist tariffs, tax hikes on the wealthy - be simultaneously despised by those who call themselves democrats and embraced by those who call themselves conservative. The tit for tat is kind of funny to me. Neither side is upholding any sort of standard. The left is completely out to lunch with its wild progressivism and violent activism. And the Republican Party, with Trump, now somehow whole heartedly supports policies that would have incensed “conservatives” not all that long ago. Sweeping tariffs, large spending bills, now we want to pay people $5000 per baby they have? To me, the Trump years will go down as one of the biggest wasted opportunities to have center right leadership in this country.

This is why American corporations going the DEI route was so poisonous. I don’t fly anything with fancy glass in the GA world. But a Stratus providing ADSB in to ForeFlight on an iPad is tremendous SA. Not only do I get the targets like above, but it has their exact altitude readout and callsign and/or tail number. The last part is the real life saver, as I can hear what ATC is calling them and it’s so much easier to make sure you’re looking at the right target. Does Garmin not have the ability to show the extra data like callsign?
