  1. The saddest part of this thread is the poor guy who thinks AFPC would ever take his past performance into account when delivering a future assignment.
  2. I've never understood the aversion to using street names and addresses like the rest of the civilized world.
  3. Actual RPA UDM here. Yes, RPA crews deploy. Not every squadron deploys people, but the community as a whole does. The amount of volunteers varies by time, squadron and crew position. An LRE deployment is a great experience for a new Lt/Airman. They return with better flying skills, systems knowledge, understanding of datalink architecture, improved situational awareness, and a renewed appreciation for supporting the dudes on the ground. So CCs like to send them after they've built some experience (normally a minimum of a few hundred flight hours). BLOB*: expect one 4month-ish deployment during your first assignment. I've seen a handful of folks on the enlisted side who've been twice or thrice, but in those cases that's spread out over many years. *Bottom Line On Bottom
  4. Sweet. My 78 should keep me safe. Fat Bastard like a boss.
  5. If the CSAF did sign this off at CORONA, then hopefully the intent was to build buy-in amongst his likely successors. If the change sticks, then the delay will have been well worth it.
  6. 27 of 70 ... I knew the washout rate used to be higher but damn.
  7. That is unlikely. What isn't unlikely is that $1M asset getting sent to Creech.
  8. The above is why we need universal mental health care.
  9. If anyone doubts this, look into how your squadron is doing RRFs on the enlisted side. I know people who are going to lose their job this year because they failed a single PT test 3+ years ago. Solid bros, excellent at primary duties, no EPR or discipline issues. Ugh.
  10. Mess dress purchase was mandatory at OTS. IIRC, you had to buy it the first week, presumably so AAFES could capture $400 from the 10% who quit before they threw in the towel.
  11. You're assuming the only option was to go in the way we did, with 100,000 troops. We should have left Big Army at home, and let the bearded commandos and air strikes do their thing. Afghanistan would be the same festering shithole it is today, we'd still have killed plenty of terrorists, 2000+ servicemembers would still be alive, and we'd have an extra half-trillion dollars lying around.
  12. A first PFT failure should only cause a referral report if the report closes out before it is corrected. Somewhere is actually closing out reports early because of a single PFT failure? If that's true, we're so far past full retard that I don't know what to say.
  13. The other thing to factor in to junior enlisted pay is the GI Bill, amortized over the first enlistment. Let's say a guy is an E-2, making $1717 a month. That's not much, but now add in free college and it's the best deal you're gonna see with nothing but a high school diploma unless your name is Lebron James.
  14. As an added bonus, no more combat pay at the Deid after June!
  15. Lakers cheerleader with STDs? Leave Paula Abdul out of this.
  16. The proper verbiage is "emphallusing", which is like emphasizing only with more cock and balls.
  17. We had some at OTS too.
  18. That would be interesting. I'm stuck in RPAs and leaning very strongly toward getting out. Not sure how much it would take to change my mind.
  19. Not really, prisoner swaps are about as old as war itself. Presumably we've gotten all the intel we're going to get out of the 5 we released, so getting Bergdahl back is playing our cards well. Hopefully this is a leading indicator that the Obama administration is serious about getting us the fuck out of Afghanistan.
  20. Every RPA dude recommends the above quote.
  21. I couldn't finish that shit. I know some bases assign people to write commentaries for the base paper. Not everyone has something valid to write or the skills to write it in an effective manner. This looks like a Lt assigned a task above their skill level and resulting in a swing and a miss, no surprise there.
  22. Trick question, they're all blue, just like the Kool-Aid.
  23. Class video dude is whoever finishes first.
