Cignetti had some excellent FCS playoff runs at JMU including a title game appearance. If they can beat Ohio State, they can beat anyone.

Leaving with Resentment
I felt similarly on my way out. Almost a decade later I'm grateful for the training that's enabled me to go out to civilian life and make more money than I ever thought was possible. Once it started to stack up, it got much easier to look back without resentment.

Dallas has a Republican mayor, but he ran and won twice as a Democrat then switched parties near the start of his second term. Fort Worth's mayor ran and won as a Republican.

WTF? (**NSFW**)
My understanding of the article and some further reading on their website is that they used the most recent primary to come up with that number. Which is bizarre because over twice as many people voted in the 2024 Republican primary (2.3 million) than the Democratic one (982 thousand). Meanwhile, the Republicans haven't lost a statewide race in Texas since 1994 for the simple reason that there are more Republicans than Democrats in Texas. L2 needs to go back to the drawing board with this one.

She was terrible, but even an S-tier Press Secretary would've looked terrible trying to spin the previous administration's nonsense, especially towards the end as the wheels were coming off. Psaki was objectively better at the job, but she still had a rough time trying to defend the same administration. I don't think Robert Gibbs or Ari Fleischer could've looked good defending the Biden administration.

The Next President is...
The timeline forced the Democrats to go with Kamala. Since she was on the ticket with Biden she still got to access the campaign funds they'd raised prior to his withdrawal. That would not be the case for anyone else and those funds would have to be returned to the donors or given to the DNC if neither her nor Biden were the nominee. The DNC could spend that money, about $100 million, on ads but not on directly running the campaign as that would violate campaign finance laws. If the Democrats had speedrun a second primary or picked literally anyone else at an open convention, that candidate would have to build a campaign apparatus from scratch and start fundraising from a base of $0 all less than 4 months from the election. The Democrats really just did not have any other option than to go with Kamala since she was the only candidate with existing campaign funds and equally important an already existing campaign apparatus in place. You go to the election with the campaign you have if I can paraphrase an F-tier SECDEF.

I'm so happy that Sherrod Brown lost. He was one of crypto's big detractors and that sector got a nice bump last night.

They did. The Gamecocks laid a beatdown on Oklahoma. That one had to feel good with Venables coaching at their nemesis for so many years.

- Captain passed over for Major, looking for advice.
I gave them the date. I asked how fast I could separate and they (MPF/FSS) said the fastest possible timeline was one month. I already had TAP & the separation physical complete. Almost all of that month was spent on waiting for AFPC to do AFPC things. Once my separation was approved, I was able to complete about 85% of the virtual out-processing checklist in about 1.5 workdays and that was without hurrying. The rest was stuff that didn't pop up on people's computer's until closer to the deadline.- Captain passed over for Major, looking for advice.
My experience is almost 8 years ago, but I was able to set a separation date one month from when I declined continuation after getting passed over twice. Declining continuation counts as an involuntary separation. This fact matters to you because instead of your approval authority for separation being the SECAF it's now some random SSgt at AFPC. Once the right people are working your case they can get it approved in about an hour. If your case gets hung up, call your congressperson, your chain will not be able to make AFPC do their job in a timely fashion. Help yourself out and have TAP & the separation physical done before you get the results the second time. - College Football
