  1. My FSO course was several years ago now, but the way I was trained is pretty simple: - Ground/weapons safety investigators rarely extend privilege, unless they are certain the witness will not provide a statement without privilege. - Flight safety investigators routinely extend privilege to aircrew, but they normally do no extend privilege to ground personnel unless the investigator deems it necessary. I had heard rumblings earlier this year that the course has changed more to what disgruntledemployee mentions.
  2. This. I have always recommend the following AMC Form 97 technique: "Problem X occurred. Crew applied checklist actions and landed. No damage or injuries noted."
  3. FYSA, the AMC Form 97 is not a privileged witness statement. However, a judge giving access to the privileged SIB info is fucked up.
  4. A recent OG/CC call on the East coast supposedly included this gem: "If you screw up expect UCMJ actions (LOwhatever, Art 15, CM) in addition to the Q-3." Not an exact quote...but the tone was clear. Edit: clarity.
  5. I know a physicist who just read Hitchhiker's Guide...
  6. No complaining from me. Don't know the Army rules and frankly don't care. I'm curious as to the legitimacy of Duck's claim that his tanker buddies have been gone >600 days in two years...but hey, their STRD ought to be pretty recent based on the 548/3 year rule.
  7. That's a lot of dwell time waivers...Although last year they were running the OEF/OUP scam of deploy to OUP, deploy to OEF during your dwell for OUP, then go back to OUP. I'd like to see the proof though, I find 300/yr two years in a row hard to believe.
  8. It has been a known problem for years. They should have bought the Navy version.
  9. If he declines selective continuation he will not get involuntary sep pay.
  10. Source: non-shit leaders who know how to distinguish between a dirtbag who doesn't file vouchers and a dude who files his voucher and has to deal with other agencies fucking it up. Keep the boss informed and take care of your end.
  11. You never have to pay your GTC out of pocket.
  12. http://www.businessinsider.com/uss-new-york-gunston-hall-and-iwo-jima-to-israel-2012-11 Looks like all the Gator Navy talk in the F-35B thread is applicable after all...
  13. Life is good as "permanent party" (i.e. 365-er) as long as the leadership hasn't changed the perks that the peons (AEF and "enablers") don't know you have.
  14. This is one of the great things about a VA loan...it can't have an early payoff penalty. I'm currently working with Dave Devine and I will post about my experience after the closing is complete.
  15. Sarcasm detector inop. Although the douche generator is off the chart high...
  16. Looking out the window and beating off?
  17. That's because all the viper pilots are now flying predators.
