  1. Instead of EKIA, you could rewrite that into the current PC language of the day. "Improved the lives of women and same sex couples by providing kinetic education with a 100% guaranteed non-recidivism rate."

  2. Those are very good scores, so congratulations. However, don't get complacent because selection board scores are a combination of about 15 separate items and the AFOQT/PCSM scores count for about 8-10% of the total (at least for the OTS boards, and probably similar weights for other rated selection boards). Make the rest of your package shine in a similar fashion.

  3. Guys we only paid averaging the costs of the F-35 models together $178 million per copy, did you really expect quality for that bargain basement price? How Much Does an F-35 Actually Cost? Up to $337 million—apiece—for the Navy version and the program is only a $163 billion over budget, c'mon stop min running this and put some real money in. 60 Minutes: F-35 Cost Overruns Total $163 Billion For the cost overrun, we probably could have gone to Mars twice on manned missions.. Mars, red rocks...

  4. would LOVE to see how well those UCAVS work against a military with real EA capes. hell look at what the iranians did. lets not even get into the scenario of the ultimate trump card. China/North Korea in an act of desperation launch a missile attack on satellites in orbit causing an ablation cascade denying everyone access to space, but more importantly cutting off our single most valuable tools for warfighting. sure levels the playing field pretty quickly

  6. Done both DT and OT for multiple MDS. Both are rewarding, but different. Functional DT/OT test teams talk; the degree to which that happens is personality dependent. AFTC: you do a bunch of work, get a couple heavy hitter issues fixed, and then the SPO takes the credit. 53 WG: you do a bunch of work, get a couple heavy hitter issues fixed, and then AFOTEC takes the credit. If you are the sort of person competitive for both TPS and WIC, understand their missions before submitting apps. Both camps attract people who don't understand their purposes.

  8. Spoo, how's that light working out? TRP report: 3k rounds, still only the one magazine related failure to feed. Springfield makes a good product!

  9. We had excellent video of bad guys getting turned into meat, so I don't think it was confirmability. Neutralized, Hellfire Strike and such were all okay. I try to give leadership the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they're trying to reduce the number of acronyms on OPRs in order to help dudes out on their PRFs. 69% of the USAF probably thinks EKIA is a reasonably priced Korean car.

  12. Yeah, a class' overall drop is totally determined by merit. 2009 - 2011 was one of the worst droughts ever. 3/4 of UPT graduates during those years were apparently awful. And don't even remind us about 1992 - 1993... Those students were so bad that the AF banked them... Giving them 2+ years to hone their chairflying skills. WIC is going to be a helluva reunion for the rock stars of XL 15-08.

  13. "According to the presentation, the Defense Department also bans the word Redskin pitting the Pentagon against its hometown NFL team." Funny how the biggest operation in modern times was called Geronimo. We use Tomahawk missiles to rain death on crazy radicalized Muslims. Apache gunships kill anything that moves when the fangs are out! The native Indian reference list goes on and on and on... And we're worried about offending someone because of the name of a football team! WTFO? These crazy progressive fuks are fundamentally changing our society, that's for damn sure. Of course, that might be my "privilege" talking...

  14. I heard someone in my squadron say that your AFPC functional is like a squadron scheduler that doesn't have to look you in the eye every week. Sounds about right.

  15. It makes sense. Dudes "good enough" for IDE should be good enough for any school, should they not? We are basically using IDE in-res as a discriminator for command and, eventually, promotion to O-6. If we are eventually going to stand them up in front of units as CCs and then potentially later in front of our joint partners as Colonels, why not arm them as best as possible with a school fitting of their talents/work ethic.
