  1. Not surprisingly, that's a USN Sea Hawk (SH-60/MH-60). Typical Navy infatuation with the phallus! That aside, for eight bucks, you can own the UH-60 Dick Hawk patch that glows in the dark! 🫡 https://www.twotofly.net/products/dickhawk-pvc-patch

  2. So let me get this straight, 20 million illegal immigrants coming into the country is better than a small number of constitutional violations that are being resolved in the courts? That's the math. I don't work in the Congress, so I don't get to pick a made-up third option where the border is closed and there are no violations of constitutional rights. I have a choice between a candidate that made everything worse, dramatically, and a candidate who single-handedly reduced illegal immigration to near zero, while fucking up in some edge cases. That's pretty easy math to me. No one is denying the constitutional violations, though I suspect you would view far more of the deportation activity as a violation than I would. But even if I agreed with you on every single case, the alternative was a slow rolling catastrophe for my country and the country my children will inherit. Caveats are part of living in the real world. I will be very black and white in this point. If this is a literal statement, then you are a hack. And while I could put together a rather extensive list of individual things he has done that are quite easy for me or any other conservative-minded person to support, and I can even make a smaller list of things that any fair-minded liberal would support, if you can't do that on your own, then you are simply beyond any position that is worth engaging with. In that case, TDS is a fair label.

  3. ATF "interpretations" of late have proven to be less than stellar! In January 2024, the ATF published it recovered more than 31,000 machine gun conversion devices over the past five years (Source). But again, the issue is the GCA/NFA and why are such devices illegal in the first place? Before anyone starts the "it doesn't matter why, they just are" argument, I am fully aware of that. But much like SBRs, full reset triggers (which while functionally different pretty much provide the same result), bump stocks and everything else that's prohibited (to include fully automatic weapons), it's simply unconstitutional ("Shall not be infringed" is pretty straightforward). I will always be against any legislation that turns law-abiding citizens into criminals simply for exercising their inalienable rights! And anyone who doesn't realize this is just a stepping stone toward greater restrictions is simply delusional. Truthfully, I treat any gun legislation coming out of California as anti-2A, no matter how they sell it ("It's for the children!")

  4. They don't read or listen. This is just where they take out their frustrations on the amorphous "Republican voter" as depicted by their favorite news outlet. Every time one of them breaks out the "why aren't you criticizing Trump like you do the liberals" routine, someone points out that nearly every conservative here regularly criticizes Trump, and then suddenly their keyboard goes quiet. It's boring.

  5. *should*…as in that’s not reality. The point is there isn’t any nefarious politically-driven (in)action going on, it’s simply how it works. Don’t like how it works, that’s cool, and frankly I agree. But, Banzai’s painting a picture that Republicans have a choice and they’ve chosen not to swear a Dem in while doing the opposite for a Republican. That picture simply is not true' and that’s the point of my post.

  6. All gun control laws are this, whether intentionally or not. And the ATF has been "interpreting" laws into existence for awhile. No argument. If we're lucky, now that Chevron is out of the way some of that might get tamped down or reversed. My point isn't that I like CA, or their stupid laws. My point is Glock as a company is in the business of making money, and California is a huge market especially in the cop market (like you pointed out). Expecting them to commit financial seppuku in the name of rights advocacy is naive. CARB has been using the California market share to push desired changes for a long while. Same thing.

  7. Can't say I agree. The mere presence of a cruciform trigger bar does not make a Glock a "machine gun." It requires an illegal modification and part that Glock does not provide. Just because their design makes their handguns more susceptible to conversion doesn't demonstrate that was their intent. I get there's been an increase in their use; but from 2017 to 2021 Federal cases involving automatic conversion devices only rose from 10 to 83. 730% sounds a lot cooler, but it's hardly an epidemic and such drastic actions (which California is well known for!) aren't necessary as they don't target the true culprit. Of course, if the courts actually held those who use these devices liable for their actions, that would be a more effective deterrent; but once again it's a matter of punishing the good for the bad! I have zero skin in this game, I just hate it when government goes after law-abiding citizens for the actions of others. That is how we ended up with the GCA and NFA, and if the Liberals have their way, we can expect even more unconstitutional rights being denied! And we're completely fucked if Gavin Newsom ever ends up in the White House!

  9. You are so young, if you want fighters stick with fighters. You got 5 years of applying in my opinion till I'd start looking at non fighters. That is of course if you really want fighters. Scores and letters seem good enough to get you in the door at most places. Good luck with the grind.

  10. The problem isn't limited to simply the scale of what is being spent. The problem is also what the money is being spent on. Marshall plan? Expensive? Check. Money well spent? Double check. Rando GS-8 sending out emails to gather data that some other government agency already gathers? Expensive? Nope. Money well spent? Double nope. The point is we should have cut the BS many years ago. Now though? The deficit is running so far out of control we don't have the luxury of making precise choices. Slash and burn as much as possible. In my view at least half (more) of what the government does it has no business doing, so you won't see any tears from me.

  11. I hear you, but the time to use a scalpel was about 25-30 years ago. Now, our government his hard-broke, and there ain't no gaining of compromise with the other side to agree to cut spending. Exhibit #1 = our current government shutdown over public healthcare accounting. So blasting caps and chainsaws it is. I don't like it - and I know you don't - but it's the inevitability of having grown complacent at the trough for far too long. So feel free to direct your ire towards past decisions. I hope you take a proper lesson from them going forward. The deficit spending has to end, or getting people back who are "actually needed" (as you say) is going to seem a quaint problem when we achieve total system collapse because the rest of the world tells us to fuck off with our BS debt issuance grift. So right now, this is what a hard choice looks like. The path you suggest is allowing the tidal wave to continue building. Hard no from me on that.

  12. Two recent wins: Trump told the UN to shove their plan to tax shipping above 5,000 tons for carbon emissions. Not member nations, but the UN itself would levy the tax and control the funding. That would be quite the precedent setting to have the UN start taxing. U.N. shipping agency delays decision on ship fuel emissions tax after Trump pressure The second is a little more justice, I hope. Brennan referred to DOJ for prosecution. 14. appreciate the rational discourse. 'TDS' isn't a thing (it's reused from BDS (Bush) and ODS (Obama)). it's a lazy hand-waving to ignore critiques. I legitimately have issues finding anything good he has done without caveats (ie, a stronger border is good, but not at the expense of violating constitutional rights), and have a hard time understanding why anyone (let alone those that have taken the oath) can support anything he does. Tim Pool, who was literally a paid Russian mouthpiece, is now on the approved media list for the Pentagon...

  15. The Senate confirmed a federal judge yesterday. On the contrary, the Speaker of the House swears in new members of congress. They are two separate processes, but you are trying to pull the wool over our eyes that they are one in the same. That said, the House could pass a resolution to swear her in during recess. But that resolution must occur before she can be sworn in. If you want to assert Johnson is stonewalling a resolution, then go ahead…but provide evidence that he’s actually doing that other than “your gut.”
