  1. Pretty sure the US has Russia beat when it comes to willingness to hemorrhage treasure for decades in the Middle East. USA USA USA 🇺🇸

  2. I’m not saying abolish background checks, because really what does the NFA do besides trample constitutional rights…the same background check. If you can pass a background check, then there should be no limit to what firearm you can buy/own. I’m not advocating people should be able to buy RPGs, tanks with functional main guns, etc. The worst part about the NFA is it’s a gun registry, which is the last thing we should ever let those fucks in DC do. That is communist dictatorship 101, yet here we are, with a form of a gun registry. It needs to be completely killed immediately.

  3. Yeah but this one is bragging rights and not just the consequences of some half way decent girl trading the only currency available for a ticket out of Andalusia/Troy/Dothan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Should give something for the Chiefs Group to do, out here deployed they are an essentially having an OPT on base uniform wear. A fellow CC said it best: “if this is what we are focusing on while Iran is lobbing drones overhead, then we must be getting everything else right. If not, shame on us.”

  5. There shouldn't be a line, none whatsoever, which was the intended purpose of the 2A in the first place. We all should have the opportunity to own whatever we can afford without government restriction. This man is an excellent example of what should be allowed and what I would inspire to be, just without having to jump through the bureaucratic hoops to get it! If you can't see it's a controlling issue by the government, there is no other explanation. Even if all restrictions where lifted, there's no chance civilians would ever be able to own major weaponry that would challenge the Federal government. They just want us to be subjects, something the Founding Fathers were very experience with and wanting to avoid in the future. Unfortunately, we've slipped further down that slope over the years; and given their druthers, the Fed would have similar restrictions to civilian weaponry that exists in the UK where a pointy stick can get you in trouble!

  6. These same arguments are made as to why you shouldn’t be able to own an AR-15. If it’s so important that our military and LE can have select fire weapons if needed then it’s just as important that civilians be able to own them. You can have your opinions, just don’t claim to be pro-2A.

  7. Why specifically should Americans not be able to go a store, purchase and leave with a firearm that fires more than one round with pull of the trigger?

  8. Shocker. This is the same slippery slope rationalization used to continue to erode our rights. How about the 2nd Amendment means what it means?

  10. I wonder what it’s like to fuck your way out of Dothan, only to move to almost any other Army base and eventually realize almost all of them are shitholes.

  11. I think there's a good chance that happens in the next few years. But it'll be piece by piece. Silencers will probably be first. *Maybe* barrel length. Automatic weapons, probably never.

  12. When can we kill the NFA - taxing me to exercise a constitutional right, GTFO!

  13. Hey chief, this is an easy fix, change the AFI to allow awesome mustaches and we’ll stop having “problems.” Fucking chiefs, do I have to do everything for these retards! (No offense to the awesome chiefs that comprise 0.0069% of the ranks…and are probably all in the guard).

  14. Some good news today. Not that I’m personally a huge fan of using bump stocks other than for a fun range toy, but it once again tells the ATF that they can’t redefine something just because they don’t like it. Hopefully this will lead to the forced reset triggers being able to be sold again. https://www.fox13news.com/news/bump-stock-ban-struck-down-supreme-court

  15. I think a little history from another corner of the world is useful here. Look up the Korean Armistice which ended the war on the Korean Peninsula in 1953. The signatories were the U.N. (really just a proxy for the U.S.), China and North Korea. South Korea never agreed to the Armistice because they considered it a failure to reunify the peninsula. The parallels between this and the current war in Ukraine are numerous, and a similar ending may be necessary for Ukrainian officials to save face.

  16. Similar story. Proposed June 3rd, married July 14th, moved to Lubbock July 21st, started UPT Aug 3rd. First kid born mid-May (middle of 38s). 3 more years of FAIPdom, another kid, followed by 17 years of Herks. 15 years after retiring, and we’re celebrating our 35th anniversary next month. YMMV, but don’t pass up “the one” Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network mobile app

  17. My wife and I had been dating for about 1.5 years. As my UPT date approached, we weren't sure what to do. She was still in college. I was going to be in BOQ in Columbus. How was she going to visit and how often? I proposed on a Thursday evening. We went to the courthouse Friday morning and got married. Then we called our parents and I called CBM and said I needed a house on base. Arrived there a week later and got to work making some kids. That was 26 years ago. Now we have grandkids. I wanted to fly and I wanted a family. There is absolutely no reason why someone can't do both. Granted, you gotta choose wisely, but going home to a house after flying, having a dinner at a table every night, getting laid, and having someone to be with... I wouldn't do it any other way. That said, I sympathize with you. The quality of women available to men of your generation is absolute shit. good luck.

  18. Conveniently, any possible charges for tax issues and foreign lobbying were allowed to expire due to statute of limitations so the potential major embarrassing legal problems are a problem no more.

  19. Are you in now? If no, do some soul searching on what you really want out of life because military aviation will absolutely cut into family time and spouses opportunities, etc. If yes, then accelerate that soul searching and talk to IP’s from a variety of sources because there isn’t a flying job out there that won’t take up a ton of your time. And if you just want wings and plan to be a shitty wingman/copilot and not be good so you can spend all your time at home, please don’t pursue this job.

  20. Maybe, maybe completely invalid. All depends on if one made a good spouse choice. @wikz If you meet someone who shares your values/morals, has good female/maternal qualities (even if you don’t want kids right away, those are still good qualities to look for), and is supportive of your goals, then do not pass her up. My wife has been instrumental in my life, and that includes 3 days after the honey moon when she moved alone to Vance and I went direct to party my face off at Maxwell for 6 weeks before starting UPT. The right one is out there, don’t be in a rush, but don’t go so fast you miss the signs of a quality mate. It may happen at the most unexpected time.
