Shack. Once per year I watch several fighter pilots, who otherwise rarely work out, embarrass the shit out shoes at the PT test. They may be gasping for breath at the end of the run, but they sure as hell ran the fuck out of it for no other reason than to beat their bros (and everyone else). It’s called mental strength and a desire to win; about 90% of the non-ops people don’t have either trait.

Not a movie, but an HBO series. Watched a couple of episodes of Chernobyl on my flight back from Germany. Wished I had started watching it earlier (Delta movies suck!). Gonna pay for it via Amazon, as it's well worth it!

Yes, you can switch tracks, but timing is a factor as there has to be a unit that can hire you. I'm not super familiar with all the details because I'm active duty, but as a T-38 IP I've seen a couple of guys and gals lose their fighter and go to a heavy unit. By "we" you mean "oil companies". Our government isn't selling it. My bigger point is that even if we have enough to export, closing the Straits will cause global economic impact that will certainly affect the US adversely. We've already got a trade war going... Not sure how well we'd weather a global oil crisis on top of that. All of that said, don't get me wrong. I want the US out of the Middle East. The only people happier than Islamic terrorists about the blood and treasure we've spent there is our global competitors like China and Russia. They are both thrilled that we've beaten our equipment and people to shit over a patch of sand that's been unconquerable since Alexander the Great.

Seizures and vision loss are conducive to flying... sucks, but it is what it is, and the mission is more important than me wanting to fly it impaired.

Just watched the Netflix Original “The Red Sea Diving Resort” about the true story of Israel’s Operation Brothers that occurred between 1979-1984 to save Ethiopian Jews. Very interesting story that I’ve never heard of.
