If your an O-5 or an O-6 does that mean you will be in a command position like XO,CO?

I will be heading off to UPT in a few months but my wife will not join me until January. I have heard that I can live in the dorms and she will get BAH. Is there any truth to that rumor? Is that usually what guys do that go through UPT without their wives? Do I have any other options? Thanks.

I was fortunate enough to be in attendance for what might be the Ole Miss rebels last win this past weekend against the Citadel. Before the game there was a great 3 pass fly-by by four F16's..it was friggin awesome. Anybody know what unit they might have been from? Hotty Toddy!

I was heading to Moab Utah in my lifted jeep when I got pulled over by a Utah trooper coming the other direction. He told me I was doing 82. I laughed outloud because me jeep would fall apart if I was going that speed. He didn't believe me but gave me a ticket for doing 74 in a 65. That is still BS cause I never speed in my jeep as it kills my gas mileage. I was more likely doing 62 than 82. I am still waiting for an OTS date after being selected for a pilot slot on 0505. I had two speeding tickets at that time when I was selected, those I deserved. This one I didn't. I didn't stay in Moab to protest to the judge as I need to be at work on monday. Any advise, will…

Hello, this is my first post in this board. My name is Pat and I am currently enrolled in AFROTC after coming off 4 years of Active Duty as a C-130 Loadmaster. I have a question about wearing a leather flight jacket with blues. (assuming I get a new nametag and an AETC patch.) I couldn't find any reference to this topic in the AFROTCI 36-2008. Another question is, is it authorized for me to wear my enlisted aircrew wings with my blues. Thanks for any help you give, this board and website is awesome. Best Wishes, -Pat

I know a lot of it is probably classified, but I do not know a whole lot about SERE other than what I've seen portrayed in Hollywood. Is it really as much of a haze as I've heard that it is? Is there a high attrition rate? Just generally trying to get some information and ask for other resources that any of you may have. Thanks a lot!

Is there a way to look up who is currently a 4 star general in the air force? I was waiting for my family at lunch yesterday when a 4 star walked by me. I didn't have a chance to talk to him and was looking for info on him. Thanks

I'm trying to find someone with experience as a shooter and rated aircrew. I am reaching a major crossroads and am looking for all the advice I can get. Here's what I'd like to know from anyone willing to offer: Whether you went from SOF to pilot/nav or vice versa (rare, I know), are you happy with the choice you made and would you make the same decision again? Going down for intial co-pilot, just curious if anyone has any info on good places to live

I am an enlisted Marine Corps C-130 Nav. I have a couple (not excessive) tattoos. One is prominent on my forearm. I am a couple of months shy of my B.S. and working on my private pilots license. Would this prohibit me from becoming an Officer or of getting a pilot slot in the ANG, AFRES, or as an Army reserve WO? Any thoughts on which would be the best route to take? Does anyone know what the latest change to the T-34 NATOPS manual is? I'm headed to VT-3 in a week (from API) and want to know if I need to add/delete/change anything on my flashcards. I have all changes up to Change 39 (Change 39!!! I guess they've never heard of a T.O. revision in the Navy). Also, anyone at VT-3 know how long the wait is after ground school? Our API class has been hearing a ton of rumors (varying from 4 up to 10 week wait rumors), but nothing 100% confirmed. Thanks for the help. [ 24. Just wondering if anyone's ever run into rude enlisted personnel...I'm a new LT doing casual with a fighter squadron. I'm doing scheduling and many other misc duties like making sure things are setup for fini flights and retirements. So here's my story: I was trying to sort everything for this guy's fini flight in the Viper who is retiring. His family was waiting for him to land. When the shooting war was starting, everybody was too preoccupied with the no-$hit mission to worry about queep.
