The only reason I bring this up is because it has helped me a lot in the past, and even now on occasion. Especially when I first started my AF quest by reading on here and trying to learn how to secure a slot. Now that I'm well on my way I've noticed that sometimes there still is an occasional acronym or term that I find myself reading and scratching my head trying to learn the meaning through context. Question: is it possible to update the glossary from time to time or is it easier for readers just to ask definitions in the forums and get destroyed by everyone for not searching. did someone hack BO.net and put a bunch of Thunderchickens on the main page?

I felt like chaning my personal picture today, so I logged in, went to my profile, and clicked on the 'Settings' tab. I first deleted my old picture, then tried to upload a new pic. Tired it twice but got a "upload failed, contact administrator" message x 2. Mods....thoughts? Cap-10

Anybody else having issues with the "View New Content' option? It's hit or miss for me - checked on both Mozilla (v31.0) and IE11. Cookies are enabled and this is a factor when signed in. When I hit "View New Content" I generally get a "Sorry, no new content found." message. However, when I click to the forums, there are plenty of unread threads. Occasionally it will turn up threads with the New Content option, but generally not all of the unread messages. After selecting the function and receiving the "no new content" message, I can go to the BO app and have it successfully return all the unread messages.

Routinely having my browser (Firefox 45.0.1) lock up with a particular "waiting for..." message when accessing BODN (and nowhere else). I assume it's an ad, and my caveman-level of ability to read what shows up when I navigate directly leads me to believe it's eBay.... Anyway, the specific site is: dco-cdn.w55c.net

Like the topic name says, I read the emails but they still show up as bold/unread and I get the red "2" next to the drop down messages header. iPad mini2 iOS 9.2 App version: couldn't find version info in app, but I'm not showing an iTunes update, so I assume I have the most current one. Cap-10

Let's see, how do I explain that... When I send a PM, it does not show in the Sent folder.... that should do it /S (Also, message doesn't come up (sts) as 'read' or 'unread' by recipient.) Great new place ya got here, btw!!

This has been a problem for a while; just getting around to squaking code-2. I am only able to open ~1/4 of posted links at most. They neither open in the app, or push over to another browser. So if I'm really curious about a link, the fix has been to open up BODN in Chrome. Any fix within the app for this? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

DFRESH, Any insight on what happened to the functionality to quote a single post multiple times with ease? i.e. you used to be able to hit "quote" on a dude's lengthy post, then intersperse your own comments by just using "[ quote ]" and "[ /quote ]" tags (minus the spaces). It enabled you to speak to many points made within one post in a coherent way. Am I just too dumb to figure out how to to do that in the new-look forums? How does one edit Qual level under other information in their profile?

Anyone know how to download a forum / chat for offline reading? Got a long flight coming up and I'm trying to download a multiple page forum to catch up on some base ops reading. Thanks for any help.

with the board upgrade, I can't tell where a quote to a previous post ends and the actual reply starts. Is there a setting somewhere that can be tweaked with? In the previous version, quotes were in a white block to differentiate from the response.

Hopefully as of late you've noticed some site improvements and recent changes across the sites. We are far from done! We want to continue to build and improve upon the Baseops network. After a few days where I could not login at all due to security warnings, for the last several weeks my browser prominently notes the site is "not secure" when I go on BODN. Digging a little deeper, google help tells me "Proceed with caution. Something is severely wrong with the privacy of this site’s connection." Using Chrome with automatic updates on a Macbook Air.

All, Phone apps are a work in progress again. You may have intermittent or complete lack of connectivity for the foreseeable future. Recommend using your phone's browser until I get it resolved. Thanks!

E-mail notifications for thread subscriptions no longer appear to be coming through. Doesn't appear to be related to spam folder settings (no BaseOps/FlyingSquadron emails showing up there in my Gmail). In case it helps, the last notification I received on my subscribed thread was on December 4th and there were new posts starting on December 6th which didn't seem to generate e-mail notifications. Issue replicated by @M2 in this thread.

This should be resolved now. Something caused a few tables to shit the bed. I had to do some uber-nerd level MySQL stuff to fix things.

I am getting a database error when I try to open a thread in General Discussion. Not sure if it's temporary or not, but it's been occuring for the last 5 minutes for me.

I get an error message when I try and upvote posts from Safari mobile browser on my iPhone. Just started today, had no issues yesterday.

Can we get the app updated to take advantage of the extra screen real estate on the iPhone X and newer phones please? The black bars at the top and bottom make me sad.
