Trump's Cabinet
What are we arguing about here? The fact a president cans/blocks people who don’t align with his plans/policies? Welcome to every administration ever.

Trump's Cabinet
Lol. Nice ad hominim. They've tossed those not in charge of the war effort. Those in charge of administrative roles. On top of the firings last year. Held promotions forcing retirements. Blocking promotions of what appear to be worthy, but minority officers, for...no clear reason breaking with prior R and D administrations. No general running the Iran campaign has gotten axed yet. No commander of a base where air defenses "failed," and Americans died or major strategic assets were lost. So your comparisons are trash. But go on about how I'm hyperventilating. Note - I don't think those CCs should get fired. Just showing the contrast in your comparisons.

If only we had the same zeal in going after military officers in positions to influence contracts that magically end up in high paying gigs at these defense contractors after retirement.

I think the Army should: A) Give the dude a medal for the mission, B) Commend him for his outrageous confidence level sufficient enough to bet $33K of his own money but chastised him for a potential security violation and C) Require him to donate the money to a veterans charity like Wounded Warriors.

Lighten Up Francis!
I was in SFO, TV on local news, story on housing. TV is interviewing a local lady, 50s, question is on affordable housing. Oh yes, absolutely... liberal blah blah blah. Next question, a developer is trying to build a 50 unit affordable at that vacant lot. Thoughts? "Oh, that's not a good idea. They shouldn't do that".... not in my backyard type of blah blah blah. I actually LOLed.

3 parts to the D party: That part, this part: “East Village residents who voted for New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani by a 40-point margin are now suing to stop a building in their neighborhood from becoming a temporary homeless shelter.” I hope they lose their lawsuit. The last part: otherwise generally reasonable people who are still holding on because they want the 90s Dems, but haven’t admitted to themselves the current Dems are so far off the deep end, that the only rational response is jump ship and do something different.

Seriously. Can't believe Maduro thought he'd make it out unscathed.CatchallLuxe joined the community- 2027 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Focused on 3 things for the letters: Leadership, adaptability, and potential. In your personal letter, I’d recommend trying to write about a time you overcame a hardship (against all odds, how did you overcome your challenge?) In the LOR, ENSURE SOMEONE WHO KNOWS YOU WELL writes it (or signs off on it). This will typically be your sq cc. Several people have had people with stars give them an LOR, but its clear that it is a very generic LOR and they still dont get selected. Your recommender should be able to speak to your abilities and what youve accomplished. The board (for all prev boards) has used this grading scale: Leadership 40% (your ROP and letters) Adaptability/potential 30% (LOR and personal) Aptitute/education 30% (all your scores)- Venezuela and Narco Boats
What a dumbass - how could he possibly think he wouldn’t get caught.- Venezuela and Narco Boats
Aside from the obvious OPSEC issues, I'd be more concerned if he bet on a loss...that he was that confident, I'm impressed.- Last week

Hey now, easy with the stray rounds!- Lighten Up Francis!
i love this because you can tell some fox news boomer printed this out from a 5x-forwarded email to his @aol.com address, folded it up, and kept it in his pocket to try to impress his applebee's waitress before tipping 8% 😂- ANG Fighters
Edit: they all interviewed at least once before as far as I know.- ANG Fighters
Appreciate it. Basic and tech school were both pretty much what I expected. Getting approved to fly while at tech school and follow-on resulted in some funny interactions though. I do, previous new hires are a mix of RJ pilots/CFI’s, and non-pilot internal personnel. The aviation background people are typically off the street, but know people in the unit. As far as I know, the two hired this cycle were a sort of local CFI, and a guy from the engine shop.- ANG Fighters
Not much of value to add, just kudos for going through the process to becoming a crew chief. Going from Legacy FO to Basic Training / Tech School / etc must have been an experience...... Curious if you have any insight into previous new hires at your unit? How many times they interviewed, if they were internal or off the street, etc. For that matter, any insight into who they hired this round?- 2027 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Great inspiration for those without a PPL. Every year, most selects don't have it. Would you mind sharing the themes of your LOR and personnal letter? What did you choose to focus on for the board to see?- WTF? (**NSFW**)

I don't think there's a published document that includes the alternates. Reading through the FY26 forums, seems like quite a bit of alternates were selected - Venezuela and Narco Boats
