  1. What goes around comes around. TAMI 21. No remorse for what the AF did to itself and continues to do.

  2. In the Marine Corps Hornet community there are single and two-seat squadrons. Our East Coast Hornets and now all going to composite single and two seat squadrons. This is not occurring because of a better way to manage flight time on the few flyable airframes, but simple because there are not enough company grade officers to fill all of the ground billets so WSOs are now going to squadrons where there will likely be no jets for them to maintain currency simply to do ground duties. Picked up my DD-214 this morning.

  3. Lost in all of this is just how corrupt and partisan the FBI has become. The FBI just released the IG report on McCabe and it states he lied to numerous senior officials, he lied under oath to BENEFIT HIMSELF, and he was the source of a leak during the election. Comey's book excerpts are flowing and I could care less about the insults and hand size drama, but he admits he the following: He failed to tell Trump he knew Hillary paid for the Dossier, he decided to release the late breaking info on Hillary only after he noted she was ahead in the pools, and he released potentially classified information through a friend to drive the appointment of a special prosecutor. Bottomline, love or hate Trump, the top two "Leaders" of the FBI leaked information. Sickening.

  4. They helped chew through the bulkheads. Both parties are broken. What they really want is power and status. That's why Democrats supported an obvious liar and apparent criminal who would keep the status quo over Bernie, and why Republicans would squander away the best legislative opportunity imaginable because of some worthless drama. Remember, these are the people who molest kids, cheat on their wives, don't pay taxes, use campaign funds for bribing pregnant mistresses (while the wife dies of cancer), solicit gay sex in airports while fighting gay marriage, expose classified material to avoid FOIA, use inside knowledge of future legislation to game the stock market, sext 15 year olds AFTER getting caught, lie about terrorist attacks, secretly support racist spiritual leaders, use methamphetamines, interns then cast them aside, think islands could tip over, need I go on? Trump is in NO WAY worse than these people, both sides. The only difference is the way he talks/tweets. And the most amazing part is that it was "dumb America" that recognized it, while the smarter, successful people (like say, military officers) somehow convinced themselves he was an anomalous threat. If you think Trump is bad, great. He is. But if you think he's somehow worse than the alternatives, you're ignoring some pretty egregious evidence.

  6. So not pilots doing additional duties instead of pilots is the way I read it. Winning for some.

  7. Interesting tid bit from the GAO report: "Air Force officials added that during that period, Air Force fighter pilot gaps were generally limited to non-operational positions, such as staff assignments at Air Force headquarters or combatant commands. However, our analysis found that the Air Force has been unable to fully staff operational positions since fiscal year 2014."

  8. The AF had the VA add that requirement in for any retired AF O-6s so we’re just enforcing the rules. Be thankful you didn’t get hit with the “other” exam.

  10. BLUF: Still not Hillary in the White House. Which is enough. Or any of the 16 other Republican candidates in 2016. Yet the party in the majority in the House and Senate are acting more as the opposition than the current victors.

  11. Except when the Legal Office made recommendations to me as a Commander they did so in private, not on the public stage after calling a news conference. Legal analysis like drafting a memo clearing Clinton before she was even interviewed... Do you actually believe any of this tripe?

  12. David Clark keeps getting mentioned because they're a standard issue set that we all have. They're certainly worth the money on the open market, but not sure if they'd be my first choice if I was buying on my own.

  13. Administratively, a huge majority of the "advancements" have made it more difficult on the individual, especially part-timers. DTS...a coat hangar abortion compared to the old paper vouchers. I could book my airline ticket/hotel/rental car and get orders cut in a fraction of the time it now takes to just get an auth approved. Leaveweb vs 988s...I've honestly never used leaveweb as my AGR time was before leaveweb. Now any time I take orders (rarely) it's short term ADOS and we still use 988s...super easy, and the FSS doesn't have time to fuck with it because I drop it in a holy joe on the way out the door. AROWS vs 105s...for you AD types that's how we get paid as part timers. It used to take 1 minute...now, depending on how the computers are doing that day, it generally takes 20+ minutes. It recently got slightly less painful, but all they did was make the ugly baby, slightly less ugly. vRED...used to be paper in my mobility folder. UDMs pulled them as needed and we only updated when we actually had a change. Now I have to log in (come on network, don't fail me now), update it, print it off (shit new printer server...gotta remap) and turn in...on EVERY tdy! How is this not automated and no news is good news? CBTs...it used to be the man from LOX video once a year (youtube it). On my last deployment, we couldn't get the powers that be, to get us Link-16...but by God they made damn sure we were all green on our CBTs! 781s/bubble sheets...used to be 2 quick papers. No we have hope the compute in AFE isn't locked out...Shit it locked out, back to the mercy of the networking gods and hope it's not on it's once daily outages. Guess I'll log that next month... Tricare...any Guard bum who regularly goes on/off orders will know what I'm talking about. Painful, but for $47/month, I'll jump through some hoops. 2875s...EVERY FUCKING WHERE WE GO!!!!! GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

  14. I think we all know the answer to that. It's pretty satisfying that the guy he was criticizing got the invite but he didn't.
