  1. The AF had the VA add that requirement in for any retired AF O-6s so we’re just enforcing the rules. Be thankful you didn’t get hit with the “other” exam.

  3. Kudos to Marty for taking good care of his customers and encouraging them to post here . NBKC Bank is still very much a player. We just don't post on this forum very often. Lots of business to go around and it sounds like both Marty's team and mine with NBKC Bank are working hard to make sure the pilots in our community have good financing options!

  4. Nothing yet. They are or will be getting back from their TDY and will be notifying people by mid May.

  5. Thank you for your business and review! We typically have the best rates around and I don’t play car salesman games. When you call you’ll get the lowest rate we can give with no haggling. There is another lender who I have repeatedly seen offer a higher rate when you first call, then ask for my fee sheet once they know you’re talking to me, then try to match it. They even accused a navy pilot of lying to them about the deal I was offering. To me that’s shady business and not how I run my company. Give the best rate upfront combined with quality service to make closing a pain free as possible. Thanks again! Marty

  6. Starting point is EO 12968. POTUS can add/delete/grant/etc as desired. Security is an executive (presidential) program.

  7. They’ll conclude that it’s because of old planes so they can justify an increased budget. Then they’ll give it all to contractors large and small while continuing to refuse to pay you even what Congress has already authorized. I don’t even think they’re getting kickbacks or post-retirement consultant jobs. They’re just myopic bureaucrats set in their ways, which is even harder to budge.

  8. It's hard not to form opinions regarding behavior. What is a rational person to think when classified information is found on a home brew server and nothing comes of it? Was that server subpoenaed and searched by the FBI? No. Did the FBI conduct a dawn no-knock raid of the home to search for documents/computers/etc. that contained classified information? No. Did legal advisors, also under investigation, to the person who concocted the home brew server have their home(s) raided and searched? No. Those persons were also given legal immunity. Did the FBI record any interviews with the people connected with the improper handling of classified information? No. Again, the legal counsel that was under investigation that was given legal immunity also served as legal counsel to another person under investigation. Were any indictments brought about after requested phones and computers were destroyed by those that were under investigation? No. Lastly, does the legal statute governing the prosecution for improper handling of classified information contain the word "intent" anywhere within it? No. A common thread through this process and the lack of prosecutorial interest happens to be a couple of names who happen to be investigators with the power to drive the scope and direction of the investigation. I'm sure that it's just coincidence. If you have any doubt of this, I would suggest you duplicate the home brew server in your house and store some classified information on it. Tip off the FBI and let us know how that works out.

  9. I owned four properties during my career, and am still living in the last one I bought. As long as you realize a "dream home" is usually a 90-95% match of what you are looking for, and buy smartly, it can be an excellent investment. I did well on all of my properties! Cheers! M2

  10. I really don’t understand this concept in the first place. Let’s see if I have this straight.....The USAF is going to send a guy to the airline side to get training on an airframe they both operate. Presumably this will be on the 767 unless they are planning on sending new Lts straight into C-40s and C-32s, or unless United has some super secret F-16s on order. Once the guy has his type, he heads over to the AF side to complete his 10 year commitment. Now the airline gets him back with 10 years of seniority and likely has to re-train him in new equipment because they no longer operate the type he was on, or his seniority allows him to hold something else. What’s the upside for the airline? Think the union might want a say in this? This whole concept seems like a pipe dream dreamt up by some shoe clerk who literally has no fucking clue how airlines work. I imagine airline management laughed in the CSAF’s face when this was brought up in their little meeting a while back.
