December 1Dec 1 Not sure that it’s the right thread…but does anybody have a strong recommendation for an at-home VR headset? I want to get one to mess around with rotary wing stuff at my house. Seems like the two best bang for the buck options are PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest 3. I have a home built PC that will run MSFS and Xplane just fine, but want to level-up to VR for immersion

December 3Dec 3 From what I've read the VR2 is finicky when using it with a PC. I bought a Quest 3 instead. It works good.

1 hour ago1 hr They are no doubt pushing people through faster (quality as has been discussed is a fair debate), but what’s even worse is UPT grads going to heavies are waiting 8+ months to go to the FTU. What kind of detriment will we see when less experienced pilots are waiting a year before they fly again? The result is bad right now and people aren’t even waiting as long as they will in the future. Is there really a shortage of qualified pilots because it really doesn’t seem like there is. It’s making it really hard to want to do the program knowing that boredom and inadequacy will be my future due to a lack of a real plan, and that the earlier years of my career won’t be properly utilized either.
1 hour ago1 hr @NoFlyZone fresh pilot grads are waiting 8 months, seriously? Broad trend or specific MDS/MWS? Generalized answer more acceptable here.
