There’s also an assumption here that he’s spent some huge amount of time on this topic. I doubt he’s spent much time at all on it, and therefore all these statements of “he has bigger things to spend time on” are just pissing into the wind. I don’t think it’s realistic to think he personally has spent shitloads of time at a desk solely devising plans and then executing them himself. That’s not how it works.

Musk was able to derail several investigations into Tesla and SpaceX and his new payment platform for X. Musk got what he wanted. All the while DOGE was openly shuttering USAID, Musk was closing down or reducing regulatory agencies and things that would affect him and his companies. He was also able to harvest god knows how much personal data as well as the ability to install backdoors into any number of systems. Oh yeah, and White House communication is going through Starlink now. No way could be abused... 

He was able to accomplish exactly what he set out to do.

That’s a hell of a lot of conspiracy theory there. Not to say there are no things that would benefit his companies, but to address a couple of those points:

Starlink is a significant force multiplier in many ways - it is an excellent product that will continue to increase our military capabilities. It’s a better investment than much of what we’ve thrown at LM, Boeing, etc.

USAID is complete garbage, not even a shell of what it was originally designed to be. Same applies to many orgs/sub-orgs that DOGE highlighted. The regulatory bureaucracy filled with unelected bureaucrats must die - it is not a negative to target those things for closure.

He also fired the head of statistics at Labor...Not sure if that person was confirmed or not.  Reading how the stats have been "revised" ...criminy there is nonsense at every level of the government.  Watched special on the last census, the mistakes are unreal and shockingly gave the DNC more seats in 12 out of 14 cases.

I own a house in another state.  The collection agency tenacity those people have to count you and their "you're breaking the law if you don't answer our questions" mentality was insane.  I didn't need to be counted twice.

Combine that mentality with a political agenda.  In addition to the errors (that appear purposeful), they counted illegals.

For this? Why? Because you don't like his beliefs? I don't agree with them either, though I haven't taken the time to listen to the complete interview.

 

I'd rather we just close off the pipeline of unfiltered reactions to every stimulus in the world. Our leaders should not have social media. We shouldn't know what they think about everything.

 

You guys are acting like you still haven't figured it out. They're all crazy. They're all idiots. If you expect these people (or any people) to have the right views and the right ideas and the right responses and the right actions to every possible situation, then every single one will be a let down. 

 

Vote for what matters *now.* Women are not going to be forcibly impregnated and kicked out of the workplace, losing their suffrage in the process. 

 

The signal thing was bad. 100% understand calling for removal for that. I don't think RFK Jr should be removed for thinking he has a worm in his brain, nor do I think Hank Johnson should be removed for thinking Guam could flip over. I don't think they should be voted for, but that's not the same as calling for their resignation.
