Agreed, infuriating.

My guess is another “proportional and measured” response, although with a bit more teeth, but well short of what is required for our enemies to fear us.  The SECEEF should resign in disgrace, this outcome has been obviously inevitable.

It should be measured but overwhelming.  It should also reflect not only the attack on Tower 22, but the 151 previous attacks on Americans.  We only have one carrier forward (the Ike), and she doesn't have any F-35C's so strike along the coast to stay medium risk.  I would prefer to save the TLAMs for a follow up response if needed.  Also, I would have an even bigger response ready should Iran respond like they did last time.

Biden’s too busy filling his depends beyond capacity in this picture to be doing coke. And Kamala is too busy practicing writing her lowercase alphabet on the big lined paper used in kindergarten.

If you look closely, you can see Kamala's actually doodling dongers.  7-body-positive-dick-penis-art-willy-line-drawing-prem-vishal.thumb.jpg.49979b96185865420f9203df96521c9b.jpg

Didn't we have some long-standing record that US troops had not been attacked from the air since sometime during the Korean War (70 years ago)?  Does this latest attack in Jordan end that record?

We've dumped metric tons of money into development of anti-drone technology over the past 20+ years, with much of it to defend against this exact scenario (protecting a remote outpost against small drone attack).  Does that technology not work?  Or was it not even in place in this scenario?

Why, exactly, do we have outposts with 300+ troops in Jordan?

Do the 107mm/122mm/240mm crowd pleasers that oh so frequently at the height of OIF rained down on us in Iraq count? Or does it have to be winged aircraft? I came to the conclusion I would be just as dead no matter what. This doesn't even touch on all those damn mortars.

CIWZ (self detonating rounds to minimize downrange collateral damage) or Iron Beam or something in that realm. I did see a report that a friendly UAV was supposed to be inbound about the same time so it may have led to a hesitation to engage. Whether or not it was supposed actually land is another question as don't know if the outpost was set up for larger UAV Ops.

That’s all the claim has ever applied to. And now the clock has been reset to a couple days. It was inevitable.

I believe it was phrased "by a foreign Air Force."

The tech works, mostly...it can be overwhelmed by a swarm attack.  The being said, if you misidentify the incoming drone as one of your own all the Counter-UAS capability in the world doesn't matter.

First rule of Fight Club...

Casualties ID’d and released by the Army.

Specialist Breonna Moffett, 23

Specialist Kennedy Sanders, 24

Sergeant William Rivers, 46

All 3 were Reservists out of Fort Moore, GA. The 2 females (Sanders and Moffett) were Horizontal Construction Engineers and Rivers was an Interior Electrician. Sounds like their sleeping quarters were hit by the drone.

Nope. September 11, 2001.

Are you familiar with the region of the world known as "the Middle East?" Always buzzing with nefarious activity, we've fought a war or three over there, you might be able read about them in a book or newspaper or something.

Until POTUS sends - CEASE FIRE we must remain feckless and limp.

I read trump made the houthis a terror org.  Biden early on took them off but is now adding them back to the list.

Weird.  Very similar to saying there is no problem at the southern border, and then saying that there is.  Trend?

Let's just pray that we don't have four more years of this feckless dolt while the world continues to melt down.

Not to derail this but if trump is getting 55% of the primary votes in states…,what will the other 45% vote for if they are anti trump?  SC will be interesting to see how Haley does but I’d guess a sizeable amount don’t vote for trump and we have weekend at bidens to deal with again.

When you look at the overall polls for the GOP primary, Trump is up 50 or so points above Haley.  NH was an outlier compared to the vast majority of the other states due to how they allow anyone to vote in either party’s primary.  2016 was much worse of a primary with all the candidates staying in for a while, and yet, Trump still got what needed from the GOP base in the general election.  As for Republicans that won’t vote for Trump because he’s Trump (it’s not even close to 45%) that can matter in the general when a handful of swing states could be that close.

I doubt that many R's will sit it out in the general at the risk of four more years of Biden.  I'm sure a few will, but I doubt it'll be a significant number.  As much as the never-Trumpers dislike Trump, they dislike Biden just as much and at least Trump *might* decrease the severity of a couple problems they care about.

I see it completely the opposite direction, respectfully.  Trump’s presence on the ticket drives moderates and never-Trumpers away.

They are hitting 85 targets in the opening salvo…I hope our retaliatory strike isn’t just a symbolic gesture and has some real bite. Fuck Iran.
