Israel launched a series of blistering airstrikes Wednesday on what it says are terrorist targets in Gaza, killing the chief of Hamas' military wing and at least eight others, Israeli and Palestinian officials said.

Hamas' military wing warned that Israelis had opened "the gates of hell on themselves" with the move.

Twitter war!

I love how the IDF puts that shit on youtube the day of...if that's not a big "###### you" I don't know what is.

Has very little to do with in rubbing it in their faces, and much more to do with the fact that the IDF knows Hamas will make outlandish claims that innocents, particularly children, were purposely and cruely attacked. Outlandish claims that many will rush to believe, usually because of the humanistic tendency to have sympathy for the underdog.

Israel is just beating them to the punch in the media / PR campaign. We could only wish our PA folks were as efficient.

I'm thinking Anonymous bit off a bit more than they can chew on this one.

I don't think Israel has much of a problem responding to a digital attack with physical force. The Mossad is fairly good at that.

I'm not sure who Israel would attack. That's why they're called Anonymous.

Israel isn't that good at computer stuff and they're not that patient or ruthless and they don't believe in nut sack for an eye retribution.

So, probably nothing will happen.

"If Palestine were to lay down their guns tomorrow, there would be no war. If Israel were to lay down theirs, there would be no Israel."

- Benjamin Netanyahu

So to paraphrase; the only way for there to be peace is for all of our enemies to surrender. I'm pretty sure that's been said before by others in history.

Ugh. They're not upset at the death of civilians and children on both sides... but suggesting you might shut down the internet crosses the line.

Which is why I think this organization (if you can even call it that) is less about an ideology and more about "HURR I JUST TOOK DOWN THE GOVERNMENT OF ISRAEL'S SERVERS LAWL!"

Well they just opened a can o' whoopass, I don't think they wanted too. One thing I've learned about Israel, when it comes to things like this, they don't just get even, they decimate.

Or make a twitter post about it.

Waste of oxygen:

Schiavocampo’s second question might be considered more controversial, positing the argument that long-range rockets carrying warheads weighing between 20 and 90 kilograms — 46 to 198 pounds — aren’t actually dangerous to human life. She asked:

“Living under the threat of rocket attack is certainly a psychological trauma. But what would you say to those who argue that the rockets are essentially very ineffective, they rarely do damage and that the response from Israelis is disproportional to the threat they’re under.”
