  1. Yes and if you have the other 69ish survey data and results that would be awesome.
  2. It has been a while since I posted anything - but if you guys don't mind helping me out with a project I'm working on with some guys from the CAF. Help me out and feel free to complain and tell me to pound sand. I have 2217 days left on my commitment, I think you know where I stand. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/pilotshortage

  4. ^^^ Do you think we can apply that to the officer side as well in the short term?
  5. Agreed to the above. However it isn't always that easy. You need to see what the requisitions are for the pcs cycle, if there isn't anything necessary sometimes out are out of luck. My wife is a personellist and we are running into trouble right now. Pm me for a more queepy conversation on af regs if interested in the process. The takeaway don't take no for an answer and network as much as possible
  6. Yes, I'm aware - badges on chest. Copy - Was referring to the unit patches like you mentioned - my foul on that one for not being clear. Again - maybe I'm havent been around long enough, but the thing I was excited about was being a brotherhood to get the mission done. Drinking to much coolaid probably I was just simply stating that I don't care enough to go to another place to get a piece of velcro sewed on. Call it lazy - whatever. I was wondering if it was the consequence of an infamous chiefing incident and where it started. Seems like a lot of other guys that are downrange don't have wings on their uniforms - so I figured that we wouldn't be any different. Agreed
  7. Nsplayer and any Herbie guys for that - still can't figure out what the purpose of wearing a rating badge on a combat uniform is...specifically having to go get a piece of velcro added after the fact seems stupid. I don't need anyone around knowing what I do, I get that satisfaction by walking to the flight line, not by wearing a badge. I get it if you're in the infantry and have an airborne patch or ranger tab et al... Because they already have unit patches and what not. Just doesn't seem to make sense to me, but then again what do I know I'm just a snap.
  8. I really hate to be the guy to ask this question - but has TA officially been CNX'ed for people? I got an email from Trident today (o yeah ... the three pronged approach to education...suck it bitches) saying that they were concerned about funding for the upcoming semester...I have not gotten any word from the ed office that my approved TA was going to now be rejected...mainly because they got furloughed and certainly aren't going to the folks to come in and work for free. I only ask because lets be honest. we all know what is important in life. Maybe i'll finally get to read the things I need to read for my upcoming deployment rather than worry about the important stuff.
  9. http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424127887324807704579082924138453120 Yep...as expected. Also isn't Isis the company from archer?
  10. Unfortunately that isn't the case. At Vance we had to wear the Sturon Patch...not the patch of the people we flew with. That goes for Tones and 38's (the difference is the 38 guys didn't really care because they realized what was important in life, and us in the tone world were all butt hurt over the kind of patches that you had to wear.) The squadron patches were for "real pilots only"
  11. Whoa whoa whoa, pump the brakes, why are you making a Friday patch...you can't do that!
  12. I always hate it when I see random people just start jumping out random UFO's
  13. EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT...Yuengling now makes an oktoberfest, I give it a 4...out of 4, because I have never been to Germany nor will I most likely ever get a chance to get out there (or so it seems). You might be asking yourself, there is no way that it is any good! To you Mr. "I know the flavor profile of every single oktoberfest out there man (bro/dude)" (sung to the tune of the Bud Light commercial & platform specific) I say NAY, you will love it, because you love the Yuenglings. Be advised, currently, at this time it can be found at your local BX (I think)
  14. There are new rumors every day...when the new planes show up on the ramp ill believe the rumors
  15. BBC is reporting that the SFO coroner is trying to determine if one of the fatalities was from a first responder that may have run the individual over. Sure hope that's not true.
  16. Can anyone make heads or tails from what the pilot is saying on the recording? Like many have said before certainly don't hear any emergency call... 2 on the crew holding short will have a good perspective
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc4xEWWyzjM Edit for vid
  18. Not exactly a WTF, but I didn't want to disturb the sanctity of the daily pic/vid thread.
  19. New Documentary that is out on the TWA 800 crash that happened 17 years ago. Is this just another "Loose Change" Documentary? The filmmaker claims none of the eyewitness testimonies were released, assistant FBI Director says they took the missile theory very seriously and there was no evidence of any sort of external explosion in the NTSB report. Thoughts? http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/19/us/twa-crash-claim
