  1. I will only change shirts if I can wear those bright yellow shirts with built in reflective belts. It's for safety mmkay. lets all get with the program
  2. 2. Absolutely true - the AF is going to teach you their way to fly. With that said - aerodynamics and instrument approaches are not really different based on the plane, it just is going to happen faster and with more stress. For many it is just the fact that getting "all those ratings" is a ton of money that the AF is going to be giving you when you get picked up for the program. If you love to fly and have the cash - go for it. If not, study hard when you get there, because it ain't no joke!!
  3. What if at the end of the year - when they tell us that we "should" turn our money back in from our squadrons, they actually give us our money back the next year and don't penalize us for saving money. Restore a little confidence and maybe understand that some years expenses change. It could probably save us a bunch of money if we had to buy new desks every other year instead of every year...
  4. Why on earth is this a website...haha
  5. http://www.noob.us/entertainment/heres-the-definition-of-a-crazy-cat-lady/ Enjoy.
  6. Both of those books are great! The Sheepdog are what we all aspire to have a chance to prove one day. Have you heard the private lecture that he gave on the same topics? Given by Col. Grossman - they are great and I highly recommend them to everyone!
  7. Beer Wars. It is awesome and it will make you go down to the local brew pub and grab a pint asap if not just go get a brewing kit and make it yourself! Cheers
  8. Down here in the navy we call that a wave off...Man i can't wait to be in the AF again.
  9. When you check in with TW - 5 what is the process after that? Is it a standard number of Navy/Marines/AF studs per class? or is it whatever CNATRA feels like doing on that day of the week? Any updates with VT-2 and their changeover to T-6s?
  10. Do we know if their oxygen system works?
  11. BL - so it is true!? Guys' are going over to the 34 squadrons? I knew that was the rumor, but I don't trust the Cone News Network. Question with the fog though that has been spinning through my mind during the morning hours - are we not learning IFR during class, why can instructors and student not alter flight plans so that they can take off during the morning? Is that a syllabus thing? I'm sure the answer seems simple to me as a stash that doesn't know a damn thing - but just curious if anyone has any info. Cheers
  12. This is why I am telling people that have their dates that they don't "really" have their dates...especially if they are going to UPT. But then again I'm a cynic
