  1. We had a SQ CC in BUFF land give out like 19 in his tenure. It was unbelievable to watch.
  2. Yeah, that USAA card is reverting to a mediocre 1.5%.
  3. It still stands that no one tries training anyone in a level D until they have hundreds of actual flight hours. Airlines aren’t taking Joe schmo off the street and making him an A320 FO in a year of sims only.
  4. Contrary, it’ll be easy to keep on the rails; it’s a giant monologue!
  5. All sims for the T-1 track still a thing?
  6. Won’t really help the overall staffing issue, but it will open up more senile captains with declining skills to make mistakes, so we have that going for us. Also, ICAO is still 65 soooooo just sticking these old farts on domestic then?
  7. Looks like WWI when they were leaning out the side of the cockpit and dropping by hand.
  8. Retain talent and experience in a more amenable arraignment…nah, how could that help the force? Kill it!
  9. Three Friends Chatting: Steele Dossier Created from Gossip https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-surprising-backstory-of-how-the-steele-dossier-was-created-11652103582 Definitely want a government office deciding what’s real.
  10. The Army displayed this problem consistently during OEF when they wouldn’t let their aviation assist a bordering ground commander’s unit temporarily, nor would they willingly temporarily allow their ISR to do likewise. Anecdotal, no I don’t have one solid example, but that’s the summary of ten years of watching lower level commanders squabble. So I definitely see the potential for the ACE/CCs to get territorial in absence of changing higher guidance in dynamic conditions.
  11. Including the T90M, days after arriving.
  12. You can’t bring an insider in, they’ll see the big board!
  13. Quoted For Truth. Great summary, and Flying cargo is preferable.
  14. But we don’t have that thing; not even close, and the horse we have should be out to pasture not riding into battle.
  15. You’d rather be stuck with five generations ago than two generations old, though, because the AF hasn’t appropriately defined a requirement and timeline to look at other options. Aside from the fact it’s rubbish we can’t procure one an already operating E-7 in less than five years…how is having E-7 worse than E-3? We always talk about divesting old, unrealiable, difficult and expensive to maintain platforms to invest in new capabilities; this ought to be a good opportunity.
  16. Copy. So if they could put an E-7 on the ramp in 6 months (because it’s already operational) to buy two years for full acquisition of something better that you’re alluding to: would that be an acceptable compromise?
  17. Yep, retirement move within a year and Separation move is 6 months.
  18. You’d think that since Brick started his service during WWII, he’d remember what happens when a megalomaniac in Europe invades another European nation, but maybe it’s the dementia.
  19. Inserting into a conflict? No. Supporting the country that has been invaded is different.
  20. If you don’t make the international rules, someone else will.
  21. Let’s be honest, you don’t.
  22. The National interest is not having aggressor countries walking into another one just because they feel like their empire was aggrieved thirty years ago. You know, the whole national sovereignty thing we’ve mostly held down since 1945.
  23. The average russian likely doesn’t give two shits about Ukraine. You’re way hyping up the importance to anyone not named Putin.
  24. Have they done a pro app review? As you’re aware, can catch errors one wouldn’t realize they had that could keep even the otherwise best applicant from getting a call.
