Got two full freezers, one for pork and the other for beef that we raised here on our place. We make our own bacon, corned beef and pastrami, plus we render the pork fat to make lard. Fresh out of Basic going through tech school in Denver (Lowery) spent a weekend in Breckenridge with a wild ass chick I hooked up with. Monday morning in the shower some dudes are like "hey studley, have a good weekend?". I didn't know what they were talking about. Went to the mirror and had bite marks and hickeys on my chest and neck, turned around and it looked liked I had been whipped. I didn't feel any of that when it was happening. Let me tell you, I wore that shit like a badge of honor!

I feel lucky that I flew on these for awhile. The Fulton pickups were a hoot even though i didn't do any live ones.

There was a period of time in the 80s where you were paid the full per diem no matter what you spent. One example I remember was New Orleans, 87ish I think. Per Diem was $75 a day. Stayed at the west bank sheraton and with the military discount and sharing a room it was $12 a night. Big bucks for a SSgt back then.
