  2. I think a lot of pursuit policies reflect the liability of an individual agency. State level agencies often have the law and resources on their side whereas city or county agencies frankly don't. Higher up the government food chain the harder it is to sue. Here again I fully support robust aviation support to make running a futile endeavor. In fact, local news helicopters have acted as de-facto air support in the apprehension of suspects at times. Watching long pursuits on TV in some Southern States constitutes fine redneck entertainment. For suspects it has probably prevented the obligatory post chase beat down when it's being broadcast live to thousands so there is that.
  3. Definitely the wave of the future. Tooling fixtures for bending say tubing or shaping other components are pretty straightforward. If we're talking blades in an engine repeatability of mechanical properties is the difficulty. 3D printed blade sitting next to a traditional blade may appear identical, but grain structure is completely different. Even repeatability internally from one 3d blade to the next may be inconsistent. So, tell your young people to get on with the program and solve these problems.🫡 Sounds like Beehive has a workable solution for things like missiles.
  4. 18 month developmental timeline is impressive.
  5. C-5 and AF 1 both use a version of the CF-6. Of course how they attach to the airframe is where I see this investigation headed. Props and engine mounts keep maintainers/engineers up at night for a reason.
  6. Here's a funny. I don't think I could fool anyone I'm a bot but I asked Chat GPT the other day a random question about the B-21. I have no insight and I'm certainly not wanting anyone to reveal anything they shouldn't but when I asked it how many LRSOs could be loaded on a B-21 it calculated just over 6 (of course you can't load a partial missile) based on open-source information and some assumptions base on known dimensions of the things like the ALCM etc. How accurate the calculation turns out to be remains to be seen.
  7. I don't know and certainly more to the story. I thought the white and also by all appearances unmarked vehicle moved into her. Normally an accident no more severe than this would be investigated by local PD. Take her information and let local PD take her into custody since she was a US Citizen. I'm curious why it appears all charges were dropped as well. https://www.newsweek.com/us-citizen-dragged-car-border-patrol-chicago-10924948
  8. This has a Nexus to a whole lot of threads and discussions on BO. Assuming events occurred as they appear I admit I find it disturbing to say the least. Had it been my family member I can't use the words I would like on a public forum.
  9. Sorry, too subtle humor on my part about the stop sign. Also, location of mishap was south of Kitchen Lake Park in OKC
  10. That's what she said. (Just south of Kitchen Lake Park in OKC)

I didn't jump onto the Glock train until about 3 years ago. G19 Gen 5 I got at the exchange, and I really shoot it as well as any pistol I've ever owned. When I saw all the SOCOM guys carrying it I thought there must be something there. I admit I was old school and convincing myself to get a pistol without a manual safety took a while.
  12. Interesting to see a firefighting version.
  13. Sounds like they need to consult some good ole boy southern duck hunters to cover it in Real Tree Camo as a finishing touch.
