Here's a funny. I don't think I could fool anyone I'm a bot but I asked Chat GPT the other day a random question about the B-21. I have no insight and I'm certainly not wanting anyone to reveal anything they shouldn't but when I asked it how many LRSOs could be loaded on a B-21 it calculated just over 6 (of course you can't load a partial missile) based on open-source information and some assumptions base on known dimensions of the things like the ALCM etc. How accurate the calculation turns out to be remains to be seen. -
I don't know and certainly more to the story. I thought the white and also by all appearances unmarked vehicle moved into her. Normally an accident no more severe than this would be investigated by local PD. Take her information and let local PD take her into custody since she was a US Citizen. I'm curious why it appears all charges were dropped as well. https://www.newsweek.com/us-citizen-dragged-car-border-patrol-chicago-10924948

This has a Nexus to a whole lot of threads and discussions on BO. Assuming events occurred as they appear I admit I find it disturbing to say the least. Had it been my family member I can't use the words I would like on a public forum.

Sorry, too subtle humor on my part about the stop sign. Also, location of mishap was south of Kitchen Lake Park in OKC

That's what she said. (Just south of Kitchen Lake Park in OKC)

I didn't jump onto the Glock train until about 3 years ago. G19 Gen 5 I got at the exchange, and I really shoot it as well as any pistol I've ever owned. When I saw all the SOCOM guys carrying it I thought there must be something there. I admit I was old school and convincing myself to get a pistol without a manual safety took a while.

Interesting to see a firefighting version.

Sounds like they need to consult some good ole boy southern duck hunters to cover it in Real Tree Camo as a finishing touch.

Circular run of his torpedo -
https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/colombian-president-alleged-drug-boat-from-his-country-white-house-baseless/ Sounds like the bad guys are trying a PR campaign to help ease the pressure. I doubt anyone on the boats were actually innocent.

I get your point, but I see a big difference between an in-state deployment with the consent of your governor on an international border and going out of state. The local population in Illinois may not be very supportive of another state's troops. It's starting to sound almost like a COIN fight in the US. I'm sure a lot of the targets of ICE raids have popped smoke and moved somewhere else while the heat is on in Chicago. Like a game of whack-a-mole. Damn where have I seen this before? 🤦♂️

Shot down by an unmanned boat? That's a new wrinkle.

Lot of nuance on this issue. There was a report of a father who was admittedly in the US illegally who was arrested by ICE who's sons who are US citizens were all serving in the Marines. Father of Marine veteran released after being beaten and arrested by ICE agents . as an example. As for recruiting and retention we are only 6 months into this, so I see it depending a lot on what happens going forward. Worst case is a Kent State scenario. Longest pole in the tent is something all in the military understand is sustainably and logistics. Side note is this is why I like those with a military background to serve in government because politicians often make all kinds of promises with no clue how to make a plan work in the real world. 300 Guardsmen for 60 days? I can't say what long term effects will be. How long can they be away from their civilian jobs before they get surly? We all ask as taxpayers how much are we willing to spend long term. Just scratching the surface. I admit the sight of US military policing our streets provoke a visceral reaction on my part and what's to stop a Democratic Administration from doing the same thing in the future?

Looks like a C-17 flew the Texas Guard to Chicago. I know we've all embraced our fair share of military suck but I'm curious how BO community feels about this mission. I can definitely see a long-term effect on recruiting and retention in the Army Guard depending how this all shakes out. More than a few enlisted in the Army/Marine Corps are not US citizens or have family members who aren't.
