Saddle up for Syria? Or Op Deny Christmas '13
disgruntledemployee replied to brickhistory's topic in General Discussion
Forces that took and maintain control will take over the base. If the Ruskies have any chance of keeping it, they have a marker in their possession, named Assad. -
My brother carries the 365 and we're planning a range day soon. My hands are smaller (sorry, no pics to share). Like with the M9, I had to rotate my right hand to press the mag release, but with a 1911, it's perfect, which is one of the reasons I love that platform. Much appreciated with the info, especially holsters. And the offer to go shooting ðŸ¤

#2. Every late rate I knew made Maj. I think being competitive for boards meant they had good early career paper to make Maj, even Lt Col. #6. There's almost always a waiver to anything. And there's always an O-3 figuring a genuis way out. Lastly, with this change, it will create a larger pool of salty dogs with a reduced/no filter, which isn't a bad thing. There is a place for a career PILOT in this AF.

Saddle up for Syria? Or Op Deny Christmas '13

If you were a European ally or part of a US Middle East IC team, you should have been in a SCIF 10 days ago. Maybe they were. But leaked anonymous govt sound bytes make it sound like nobody saw this coming. To that point, did we (Central Command) not pay attention to fleeing aircraft and take action? I mean we just launched B52s against ISIS targets. Are we still allowed to do that and not take action against Assad? If we had shot that asshole down, that would be like flipping two big ol middle fingers at Iran and Russia. And the forces that ousted Assad might say thanks, much appreciated and maybe provide a seat at the table. -
Thanks for all the inputs, everyone. Maybe I'll get both the Hellcat and 365.

I'm looking to add a compact/sub and was looking at the Hellcat, which has a nice deal with 5 mags and an optic for the standard price. I have a pair of 1st gen M&P Shields. I looked at the P365, but like the Hellcat capacity without too much added bulk. Any experience info appreciated, to include carry holsters.

Where do I send the check for my blanket pardon? PS, I think Senile Joe is about to strap on a leather helmet and a drool bucket let alone remember what he said a while back, but step-momma Jill remembers and she still needs her boy to reignite the family biz.

All this flag planting shit has gotten out of hand. NCAA says fines and is so limp dick. That's just money that comes from other people... they'll get more. I say no more flag shit, no more desecration of another team's field. Do it and you lose the scholarship, 1 year suspension of those involved to include coaches, and banned from national championship playoffs/Bowl games or other dire consequences that affect individuals and the team. Yes, if that was the rule today, both MI and OH St would be sitting out, players and coaches suspended. If you can't control your players, go back to Pop Warner.

Looks like Hesgreth's mom sent an angry e-mail to him years ago and the media got a hold of it, apparently from someone on the ex-wife's side. Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

You're theory probably applies to most anti-EVers.* But there are issues that need addressing like car fires and accident risks. I know a dude who lost his house due to the Tesla starting a fire in the garage. I rode in a Tesla, it was neat. Extended fam in Cali has some. But they're not really a fit for me where I may leave a car at the airport for a few weeks and it gets cold and chargers are shared between spots. I love that 'Merica is making them, I love that the effort is generating tech advances in batteries, safety, etc., but don't like the self driving push as it needs more maturity. Also, I love that it's advancing other industries. For example, Arkansas is sitting on an underground lithium brine goldmine that can flip the US from an importer to world exporter. The green argument is a back and forth between the sides and I don't think either side is right. I want my 93 octane til I die. * The Cyber truck is just awkward, just like Elon, who should just shut up and make cars.

Ok, two different things.. tracking now. For the orphan from China learning engineering, I'm sure the good ol govt can establish an alternate civil service to reap the investment of said 2d Lt along with a loan balance should she not honor that alternate enlistment/commitment. As for the beards, we all know our idea for beards in the military is modeled after Ramius, right? He would have looked unwise and silly if he was clean shaven and asking for a Ping.

Things you should listen to drunk while on BO

I used to have a '76 Olds Omega, same color. 260CI V8 with stock Rochester carb and the mighty Turbo Hydromatic 350 tranny. I put on air shocks to lift the ass off the the saggy leaf springs, fat tires, cut off the rusted muffler, put in some cheap china speakers with a tape deck radio and wore out all my Columbia House 1 cent cassettes of Van Halen, Quiet Riot, AC/CD, ZZ Top, etc. Then I gave it to my brother and he wore out his Columbia House 1 cent cassettes. Here's a 70's cop show tune -
I think the appointment is for 2 years and then it goes back to an election. Now all Ron has to do is not sell it like Blagojevich did.

Did you grow up on a grain farm? Do you know how easy/hard it is to flip crops like this? Equipment? TTPs?

Trump wants the Senate to kill the PRESS act, already passed by the R House, which protects reporters from revealing sources, etc. Does Trump know something his fellow Rs don't know? https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/21/media/trump-press-act-journalists-media-freedom/index.html (sorry, WSJ and NYT links were pay-walled). Also, Ds are pushing judicial appointments through because some Senators are not doing their current job but rather their future job. And some people are pushing Biden to resign now so Harris can get a few months at the wheel. I bet Jill prevents that move. It really does feel like the Ds are trying to stick the gas pedal to the floor and bail out and watch the ensuing wreck.

I just got an In Stock email from Graffs for CCI M34 primers. I put the request in when they went out of stock when Obama took office. That was about 16 years ago!

Good. Now he can be a blow hole on TV.

My words came off wrong. I was agreeing, hence the word sorry, but saying it was a worthy topic, and then tried to steer it back with subsequent paras. I should have added, a worthy topic in it's own thread. PS, anonymous transition teamsters are leaking that they're not happy with Hesgreth (unforthcoming on past) and someone unearthed a mean tweet from Tulsi (D) calling Trump Saudi's Bitch, both headlines in today's Drudge. ......... <--grains of salt.

Sorry bud. It's a topic and it deserves discussion. Back to the topic, I don't see Gaetz getting confirmed. He pissed off too many Rs with his Speaker battles, and other various clowning. The underage sex thing provides justification excuses. Other that pure loyalty to Trump, and there are tons of other acolytes he could have picked, why him? And whomever I made that beer bet with (4fans?, too lazy to look back) looks like "hackers" (aka, inside job) got the report and will leak it. SecDef is probably going to turn into a battle, but it was probably always going to be a battle because, well, Trump picked a complete outsider. Kennedy... smells like some sort of back room promise fulfillment. Or a plot to fire him 6 mo in and neuter his political life. Tulsi... why pick a former D? Aren't they always a D for life on the inside? As for the UKR issue, Biden not only pulled the gutter guards, he shouted out loud that he did. He could have done it without we/them knowing, but no. UKR has to be careful with the rules removed, lest they get an unintended reaction. Maybe Biden (his staff really) wants to hand Trump a gigantic can of can of worms with 2 forks and laugh, saying, good luck trying to unfuck this mess, MFer. October surprises are nothing, it'll be interesting how many January surprises Biden (his staff, really) unleashes just to fuck with Trump.

I support helping a country fight off an invasion by Russia. So far, there hasn't been any big spill and this thing has been going on for what, 2.5 yrs? It really has suppressed a supposed top tier world military and the affects will be felt for a generation. Another upside to providing support is it tells China that we're willing to help nations defend themselves, like Taiwan (different animal, but still a message). Lastly, we learned that porn is an effective tool to suppress N. Korean troops. Lets really develop that COA by getting a team together. Ukraine corruption. Seems like Z is attacking it where its found. But is it any more than any other entrepreneurial type taking advantage of the money train called war? They still seem to get enough funds to the front lines and the troops are still fighting for their motherland. I'm not saying its OK, just that Z is addressing some of it. Z tested the waters some with his drone strikes into Moscow. I think any strikes Z does with an unleashed US arsenal will likely be to really degrade the Russian military threat; bases, munition stores, POL, equipment, LOCs, even if they're deep. The Moscow strikes were psychological and probably not even effective at that, so why waste more effort on that. Even with a MOA-UKR-B, the likelihood of taking out Putin is low. 10Ks troops amassed? Turn em into 10Ks of graves filled.

If you think Russia is justified because they used to own it, would you support a Mexican invasion to retake W. Texas?
