Aren't 747s fly by wire? The stab trim brake on the KC-135 is mechanical and I really hope the 747 doesn't have the same bike chain we have for trimming.

As a scheduler I can see it now: This flight crew is too monochromatic...throw someone else in. Or 95% of all sorties are flown by males...why is that? Maybe because there are only 5% G codes in the squadron...
