  1. If one of those gets in the egg a baby will be formed.
  2. T Summers, You can type pretty much anything you want. UFOs, bigfoot, Nessie....we are only going to look at your avatar and wonder who the hell that chick is, where she is, is she single and what is under her hands.
  3. Maternal Grandfather was a Marine in WW2. Fought in the Pacific. Paternal Grandfather was in the Army WW2. Fought in Europe. Dad is a retired O-6 and C-130 pilot. I am a C-130 loadmaster.
  4. We are going through the same process. I would start with the Sq/CC and see if he/she has any ideas. Alot of units use an older version of the patch. If your unit is old enough you may find that it used a much different patch from say WWII. We are using our units version during the Korean war. Also, you may find some ideas on usafpatches.com under the gallery section.
  5. I wonder if the cologne was to cover up the period smell.
  6. I remember having to taller tap the vans at Ramstein. And you could not mix the maintainers green vans and the ops blue vans in the parking lots. Also had to have the ropes that were attached to the chocks tied in a bowtie in front of the tire.
  7. Just what the AF needs.
  8. The conversation comes up at work from time to time....how do we take back this Air Force of ours? Any realistic suggestions? I say be a damn crew dawg. It is that simple. Hack the F'ing mission and mentor the young with a strong emphasis on the history of this Air Force. It was born in controversy and led by folks who said f___ the system. Jerry McGuire rant...out.
  9. Bad times for the mighty eagle. I hope everyone is OK.
  10. I am a guy in back....a loadmaster. I guess I can say I am a pilot. In certain circumstances. Nice arguement.
  11. Why is it that everytime there is an accident the experts on this forum come out and speculate on what caused the accident. How about letting the accident investigation board do it's job. Show some respect for the fallen pilot and his family by letting things run the proper course.
  12. You are right. That did not come out as I wanted it to. I meant as a C-130 loadmaster I rarely get to see F-16s and A-10s on my wing.
  13. I love my job. I am only a C-130 loadmaster but I love my job. Every once in a while I see some really cool stuff. Here are some pics I took during todays Ft Smith conversion festivities over Arkansas.
  14. I have been struggling with this as well. My take is this. I have no debt other than a house and one car. I have two fully funded IRAs and I have a strong percent of my money going into my TSP fund that I have through my technician Guard job. My wife also has 401K and my kids have a large amount of money going to education funds. I don't need to retire with 4 billion dollars in the bank so the rest of our money we have per month we spend on us. Don't allocate all of your money to retirement and investments. Ask yourself what kind of money you really need to retire on and then spend the rest.
  15. Although I am glad to see the 41st come to the Rock I hate to see them leave Pope. My dad was the ops officer of the 41st in the late 80s and then the commander of the 39th in the early 90s. I can remember playing soccer on the roof of the 41st building while parties were going on in backyard. It was funny for a 13 year old to watch the drunk crewmembers try and throw the ball back up on the roof if we accidentally kicked it over the side. Having grown up around carrier landings at the O club, Mildenhall rotes and trying to "steal" the 39th chuck wagon I expected a little more of a rowdy air force than I have experienced. I guess things have changed.
  16. I watched an F-15 pilot argue with a good ole Arkansas red neck for 15 minutes over the fact that the F-15 was not in Top Gun.
  17. I have ALWAYS been able to count on the entire crew to help out on the ground. I know I am not a C-17 load, but I would suspect that no matter what the mission or aircraft the rest of the crew is always available and ready to help out. We are a CREW right?

I hope they brake alot. If not they wouldn't be able to stop.
  19. There is nothing like seeing a 10 year old in BDUs that are 30 sizes too big and trying to keep his so called military image up. Cracks me up. Gotta love the flight suit wearing CAP dudes as well.
  20. Ralph, you can google any of that and get the info you are looking for. Every one of these questions is pointless on this board. Call the freaking unit and find out if they are having a board or not.
  21. I sat static all weekend at the Fort Smith Air Show. Saw the T-Chickens put on their first show of the season. The one to see was the new F-15E demo team though. It was awesome! Almost as good as the people watching in northern Arkansas. Family trees look like telephone poles there. The A-10, F-4 and F-18F did great as well.
  22. I don't know anything about B-2s or F-15s but I will say that I see black T-38s with WM on the tail here at Little Rock quite often. As I understand it, the T-38s are at Whiteman because the B-2 pilots don't get enough time in the B-2 so they fly the T-38 for currency. If that is the case, how is adding a B-2 Guard unit going to help knowing we aren't buying anymore billion dollar B-2s?
  23. Those ringing things are called calculators on the flight line here at Little Rock.
