- Russian Ukraine shenanigans
If you think they had a choice, you don't know much about Russia or Putin.- Russian Ukraine shenanigans
War is horrific...simply horrific. I remember my first few missions and the metric of success was always the number. We count everything, crap many of us growing up who dreamed of flying wanted to be an Ace because we thought that was the top of the glorified pyramid. In time and as I flew more missions and my "number" became stupidly high...(on one misisons I killed 32 men in 8 minutes)...I had to stop counting. Yes they were evil people who deserved to die but it was still someone's brother, father, son, cousin...and I didn't want to surrender my humanity in the process. I PRAY my son never has to see the horror of war. While I cheer the Ukrainians it is not lost on me that the ones dying are not that ones that caused this horror. Yes the Russian troops are committing atrocities but this is not a simple good vs bad situation and a lot of young men and women (and innocents), are dying because of a diabolical human in Moscow. I hope Ukraine kicks the snot out of the Russians and they flee back to Russia and I hope it all ends right there. At the end of the day we all do our duty, and I did it very well, but we don't have the celebrate the carnage- Russian Ukraine shenanigans

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nominations: Air Force Gen. Kenneth S. Wilsbach for appointment to the grade of general, with assignment as commander, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Wilsbach is currently serving as commander, Pacific Air Forces; and air component commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.- Lighten Up Francis!

I don't know that these numbers rectify with what the staffers were saying. I think they were expressing the number who had contacted their Congressman and Senators expressing interest in the service academies was down 70%. I think these numbers show those that actually applied. They also mentioned that number was geographically oriented with the largest decline in the south which is where the majority of service members come from (40%).- The Next President is...
A whistleblower alleges DOJ and the FBI have an unclassified document that describes a criminal scheme between Joe Biden WHEN HE WAS THE SITTING VICE PRESIDENT and a foreign national. FOXNEWS, NY Post and the National Review are the only ones reporting on it so far (shocking I know). "The document, an FBI-generated FD-1023 form, allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions." A question for our liberal friends on the forum, given the anal probe the FBI, the House and the main stream media gave Trump over the dossier, don't you think this should at least be investigated and reported on?- What's wrong with the Air Force?
Exactly...and there is still the perception. A lot of damage was done.- What's wrong with the Air Force?
To help fix the retention problem we lowered our standards...so we got that going for us. According to three separate professional staffers I recently spoke with, applicants to U.S. service academies are down 70% with the vaccine requirement and DEI being cited as the number 1 and 2 issues.- The Next President is...

Danish military just declassified 26 photos of Russian ships with submarine rescue vessel SS-750 over Nordstream 1’s explosion site days prior. Forsvaret bekræfter: Rusland havde specialfartøj nær Nord Streams sprængningspunkt- China & Chinese Shenanigans
Imagery obtained by CNN shows a large blimp developed by the Chinese military, spotted for the first time at a remote base in the desert of northwestern China. The images, taken in November 2022 by US satellite imaging company BlackSky, indicating DoD likely knew and was tracking the entire time but decided to allow them to fly over out territory.- History Friday
Years ago I was a guest of the FSB (former KGB), on a formal senior military exchange and had several official meetings (and an epic lunch meeting which included shots of vodka and cognac), at their headquarters in Moscow. They have what was at the time a classified museum in the headquarters and I was given a private tour. I asked and was allowed to take this picture. In the case is wreckage from Francis Gary Powers U-2, his pressure suit, items he was carrying and a portion of his parachute.- Next CSAF?

I have several but surprisingly one of the cheapest is my favorite. The Sticky Holster is lightweight and has a no-slip material the allows easy carry against your skin even when gym wearing shorts.- Gun Talk
Two! Highly suggest you fit test your hand and carry options before buying. My local indoor range allows you try test shoot a range of options as long as you buy the ammo from them. I have the Shield, the Glock 43 and the Hellcat. I carry the Hellcat mainly because I have large hands and find it fits me better.- Gun Talk

Army aviators, ready to leave the military, are told they owe 3 more years instead- The Next President is...
Its just as bad on the DNC side, while some dems are criticizing Biden, the rank and file and most especially the donor class is firmly behind Biden. I find it shameful the DNC has already said there will be no DNC primary debates. The Biden strategy is clear for the next 18 months...run another "Weekend at Bernies" campaign keeping Joe in the basement and and away from the microphone as much as possible. Already the fewest press conferences ever for a sitting President, no live debate with any DNC challengers and I bet they are already calculating a way to avoid a debate with Trump should he win the GOP Nom.- Starship baby
0.375 that of Earth - really helps when you run the fuel and return calculations. SpaceX and Musk have a very iterative process that is paying dividends as they outpace the traditional "experts". Amazing to watch their progress.- Russian Ukraine shenanigans
