  1. 400 lbs? Sounds like someone is load planning like TACC these days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Haha. Yeah. Idk why people think of formal training courses differently than deployments, but most of the rules are the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. True Remember that combat time can be logged for the entire sortie that originates/terminates or overflies the combat airspace. So if you overfly Iraq on OTBH-ETAR, Combat time. If you fly OTBH-ORBI-OTBH also all combat time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What you’re describing there is probably someone who grinds out the week at DLF and then high-tails it to SAT on the weekend, yeah? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’m a toner dude so we kinda show to brief for the flight (no formal brief). That said being an MWS guy doesn’t really help. Morning local push for us is t/o from 0730-0900, out and backs 0930-1030, then afternoon locals 1400-1500. And you can never ensure you’re on the afternoon consistently. Brief times are all at least 2 hr prior to takeoff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sounds terrible. Especially for a UPT IP. In AMC at McGuire I, along with a bunch of other peeps lived in Philly-proper ~1 hr from base. Now I’m a UPT IP and I couldn’t imagine having a 1 hr commute with the amount of show-times that are before 0700. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That’s right, don’t forget the great crew ratio lowering of late 2015-early 2016 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Rumor mill was that a couple were non-recommended for IFF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What’s this guidance you speak of? Where I am wing/cc laid out a couple days ago, 2.5 hrs driving radius for purposes of outdoor rec only. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Anyone who tells you they would rather not be a pilot in the Air Force, but is in fact a pilot in the Air Force can go f*ck right off. I might bitch about shit constantly, but I love flying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Wtf is a clay beer mug? A stein? Anyways, head to aviatorgear.com they probably have all you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. And that’s when you leave and don’t come back for the rest of the day. I’ll laugh if someone tries to chief over this. I already don’t have to get my haircut, who gives a what color my bandana is? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yes. Politco has more https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/02/navy-fires-aircraft-carrier-captain-who-raised-alarm-about-virus-outbreak-162225 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Well in standard pentagon tradition, the one who goes against the machine gets removed from command https://www.nbcnews.com/news/military/navy-expected-relieve-captain-who-raised-alarm-about-covid-19-n1175351 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. In this case, the likelihood of this guy needing 5 years is low. He has already applied for retirement. He will likely apply for retirement again in 2-3 years when the PCS ADSC expires.
  16. Yeah because I wash my 2 flight suits every other day... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Not unpopular opinion. Note: I am an AETC IP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. My best guess is that due to the relatively isolated locales of these bases (Lackland excluded) they were not worried due to lack of confirmed cases near the bases. Now that COVID is nearly everywhere they are going to have to re-evaluate because this risk is getting out of hand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. From the sounds of it pipeline PCS are still happening. So why bother with the stop movement order if 2 levels lower is just going to come out and change it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Well UPT is still chugging along with the only real changes of reduced out and backs and self quarantine if you exhibit the symptoms. And I don’t think you’re the only ones still flying, my previous ops sq is min-manned in the office, but still flying locals/sims/worldwide missions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. You’d have to be nuts not to. Over $200k a year (on group 4 Capt) to retire early. I’d be calling today to get signed up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Sounds like a special kind of hell having to endure a car service JFK-DOV Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. What ever happened to “Nothing we do today can’t be done tomorrow”? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. That can’t be right because when I went through I did my $ ride then like the next week was X Mas Break and then I soloed at like the end of January so that would have been like 20 days on the flight line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Same problem with flight pay except $700 in 1989 should be ~$1800 now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
