    As for looking for a place, I used Alamo Corporate Housing to get a spot for myself, wife, and dog during PIT. They work with a good number of military in the same situation and can help get you in something reasonably close to Kelly, I am sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    That’s precisely what’s already going on. Initial Qual is like 40 sims, then a check, in the sim. One qualified, continuation training in the sim focuses on instrument flying and emergency procedures. Local training sorties are dedicated to tactical training until weather dictates otherwise, in that case you might fly a 3 hr local doing approaches somewhere, but it’s not the norm or first plan.     Eh. I’d say CHS or TCM plus AD just makes you more likely to do a prisoner swap or LTS. If you’re a single squadron dude, be good and upgrade quickly and you may be able to get one of the special AFSOC jobs But honestly your desires could possibly change in the next 3 years to wanting to stay in AMC or head to AETC.     Move Tyndall mission to literally anywhere, rebuild base as new UPT base. Move all assets of (take your pick: CBM, DLF, END) to Tyndall. Create massive reserve squadron for IPs. 80% AFRC, 20% AD, profit. AD will want to move there and AFRC guys will probably want to go full time. Profit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    In other news: Has anyone else recently been sent to PIT as an out and back from your MWS base? My RIP is coded as an out and back and in classic Air Force fashion, UTM told me to call MPF career development, who told me to call my UTM, who gave me a phone number for a civ at AFPC who doesn’t answer their phone. Also of note, the AFMAN listed on the RIP as the reference for the RIP doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Do you already use Apple devices and or ForeFlight for Military flying? If the answer is yes, why learn a new platform?

    Not from what I've seen. Pilot gets sent to UPT as a C-17 AC, completes UPT tour and heads to Altus for AC re-qual course. Looks like that would definitely get an ADSC.

    Upon re-reading, if you're a second assignment guy who got sent to UPT with about 6 yrs left on the clock, your re-qual into your first MWS is going to hose you as well.

    You see that on Facebook? I think that comment was in reference to the MAF to CAF crossflow program they started in ‘15-‘16. They say this program will be a test but they didn’t say how few people they will select
