  1. Well it looks like she did a tour at the 1 FW mostly pre-9-11 so not much going on there, and then went on to PACAF and then a TBird tour and then her only other operational assignment was at Kunsan as the OSS/CC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Who knows? Another key fact is that there was already a change of command scheduled for like next week because of this guy’s impending 1 yr deployment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Isn’t it always? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Is this a troll post? Honestly if you want love about them head over to APC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. They did make a movie it just ended up as a “made for TV film” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Thousand_Heroes Charlton Heston played Capt Haynes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Eh. I’d say CHS or TCM plus AD just makes you more likely to do a prisoner swap or LTS. If you’re a single squadron dude, be good and upgrade quickly and you may be able to get one of the special AFSOC jobs But honestly your desires could possibly change in the next 3 years to wanting to stay in AMC or head to AETC. 7. Sounds like a not great deal all around... Delta knows you’ll be going back and “losing” their employee for at least 3 years after that. (Because the CIP requires you pay back the time at double the time off) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I think that guy was speaking mostly about the majors. I’m sure as soon as you have 750 hrs a Regional will here you and then you’ll get an ATP as part of their training. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Lawyer up, delete Facebook, and hit the gym is the popular mantra on Reddit. Look at it this way, you don’t have an AD retirement she can take half of, and you might as well move to whatever base you get to make sitting reserve easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. You get used to it. I probably couldn’t land a regular airplane now though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. And let me know how exactly your commander was able to berate you about the amount of debt you held? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Move Tyndall mission to literally anywhere, rebuild base as new UPT base. Move all assets of (take your pick: CBM, DLF, END) to Tyndall. Create massive reserve squadron for IPs. 80% AFRC, 20% AD, profit. AD will want to move there and AFRC guys will probably want to go full time. Profit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. In other news: Has anyone else recently been sent to PIT as an out and back from your MWS base? My RIP is coded as an out and back and in classic Air Force fashion, UTM told me to call MPF career development, who told me to call my UTM, who gave me a phone number for a civ at AFPC who doesn’t answer their phone. Also of note, the AFMAN listed on the RIP as the reference for the RIP doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Do you already use Apple devices and or ForeFlight for Military flying? If the answer is yes, why learn a new platform?
  15. Not from what I've seen. Pilot gets sent to UPT as a C-17 AC, completes UPT tour and heads to Altus for AC re-qual course. Looks like that would definitely get an ADSC.
  16. Upon re-reading, if you're a second assignment guy who got sent to UPT with about 6 yrs left on the clock, your re-qual into your first MWS is going to hose you as well.
  17. So if you’re within 3 years of your UPT commitment they can’t force you to become a UPT instructor?
  18. You see that on Facebook? I think that comment was in reference to the MAF to CAF crossflow program they started in ‘15-‘16. They say this program will be a test but they didn’t say how few people they will select
  19. I think I missed something, is she lesbian?
  20. Cool. How are we going to do this without seriously cutting our current commitments so that there is time on the schedule to prep for this? The current pace is not sustainable if you want to achieve readiness, at least not in the stratical corner of the MAF.
  21. Someone in my sq got an email from someone claiming to be his sponsor at his next assignment... before being notified of an assignment by any means, CC/robot email. Best part, apparently it wasn't what he was expecting based on his last conversations with old CC that switched out a couple weeks ago.
  22. When are these guys supposed to get in the books for this? On their 1 week of R&R after their 2nd deployment to the Deid this year?
  23. Let’s also be real, when did NMR truly keep anyone from going on the road in the MAF? Most line items will drive instructor supervision for the event at most. Didn’t do all the required NVG ALZ in the half? Hopefully I don’t have to do that on my ILS into KEWR. Went non-current for AR on June 25 and couldn’t get back in the jet congrats! You’re the AC on this mission to EBBR on the 3rd of July, don’t worry there isn’t planned AR/don’t worry there is a current IP on the crew!
  24. You should be just fine on the 3 year program. I know that in the recent past AFROTC has changed the way it works a bit in regards to AFOQT and Enrollment Allocations for Field Training but the nuts and bolts should be the same. Good news is that the first 2 years of Aerospace Studies classes could be taken at the same time (1 credit hour each) class met 1 time per week for about an hour. The second 2 years are worth 3 credits each and were 1 hr 2 times a week. I would guess that your detachment runs in a similar way or else completing the program in 3 years would be impossible. I too did AFROTC in 3 years after joining late (I actually joined during my 3rd year of college and stretched out my degree in order to finish in 5 total years in order to accommodate the AFROTC requirements).
