  1. Mueller Report delivered; no further indictments (and just to remind, the ones handed out were for unrelated and/or fibbing to the FBI, not "muh Russia" charges) to be filed. Will be interesting to see what the thing actually says so it's too early for a "wah, wah" yet. Little reported in 'Merica is Ukraine has opened an investigation in the Ukrainian government trying to interfere in the US election for Hillary. To include some shenanigans from her State Department and those suspected bits of the Ukrainian government. Still, at least it doesn't involve uranium...
  2. Damn, I am sorry to read this. As so many have testified in this thread, you aren't the first to have it happen, but it still hurts intensely personally. So, mostly my advice echoes what's been offered: 1. Lawyer 2. Freeze assets 3. If you can stand the loss, cut your material losses and let her have it. Eventually, you will get new stuff and she'll have the by now old stuff that breaks and is utterly not your problem. 4. Lawyer for any communication if at all possible. Even if this is "amicable," using a lawyer can help prevent another last minute surprise as like what set this sad thing in motion. 5. If you can afford it, and this sounds like the absolute worse time for it - starting airline pay, temp Guard time, etc., offer big on child support in return for reduced or no spousal support. She can get a job as her newly acquired license shows. And if she does become successful, there's nothing that prevents you from seeking spousal support in a community property state. 'Sacrificing' now for and with the kids will eventually end and you are shed of her and any further commitments to, for, and around her. Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, you'll be free at last. 6. If possible, I might disagree with the staying in the house stand. Too much opportunity for her to say you lost your temper and she needs more compensation. If you aren't there, and you both are gonna have to sell the house anyway (1/2 the sales cost is on her, btw), it doesn't really matter. And keeps you in the use a lawyer for any communication mode. That 1/2 of all bills/expenses from her execution day forward should be split in a community property state (Ask me how I know...). That's a fact that she may not be expecting; some substantial debt starting now vs. the pay-off she might've expected. That's leverage for you - "I'll take X amount of debt now in return for no/smaller percentage of spousal support." Again, some pain and money out of pocket now and a cauterizing of the financial/emotional wound fairly soon.
  3. Ok, she's raped while wearing the uniform, but is ashamed and/or doesn't trust the system (which I actually concur with), but claims she talks about the today but doesn't name names while serving as a sitting senator and can damn sure ensure justice is done because Big Blue would roll over so fast to bring some drunk idiot out of retirement to prosecute him (assumption), she, having been a Hawg driver couldn't calculate that speed. I'm looking a little squinty eyed at the senator from Arizona... Oh, and "ewww…"
  4. I was unaware that Roger Stone was the President of the United States. Must have missed that... But, please, can you continue the brilliant intellectual discussion of how walls are really not necessary. I've got some stock in Home Depot that I might want to shed if your premise is valid.
  5. No Jussie Smollet talk? Odd. No Steven Hatfield talk? Odd. No Samantha Powers talk? Odd. No Chicago corruption talk even for something as simple as a library? Odd. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/obamacenter/ct-met-obama-presidential-library-chicago-lawsuit-20190214-story.html
  6. https://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-obamacare-court-ruling-20160512-snap-story.html https://www.npr.org/2017/10/12/540920671/trump-administration-to-end-obamacare-subsidies-for-the-poor But the subsidies had never been funded by Congress, and the White House on Thursday said that because there was no appropriation for it, "the Government cannot lawfully make the cost-sharing reduction payments."
  7. A. Didn't know this was a "reply when I demand it" forum. B. Wanted to wait until Trump had actually done something and not contribute to the infinite "reportedly," "supposedly," and "sources say" world that exists with this Administration. C. Am receive only at work for baseops, so had to wait until I got home to comment. D. Wish he hadn't done it. As I said during Obama's many stretches of the executive authority (BTW, were you all up in arms with him or was it ok because, well, he's Obama? Still can't get over how the court prohibits Trump from overturning Obama's executive action but prevents Trump from doing many others), it would just make it more tempting for the next guy, R or D, to move the ball further down the field. Next guy will do the same and then some. Not a good road to be taking, regardless of party. E. Crafty, but little reported, is that Trump is using one of Obama's previous Executive Orders to call this National Emergency under. E. Actual high profile Democrats are calling for removing even the existing parts of any barriers and unlimited, uncontrolled immigration. What could possibly go wrong with either their future elections or to the country?
  8. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/798 TS/SCI, special access information on my personal e-mail, never mind my own personal server which by its very presence violates yet another federal law. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/5/552 One law for me, another for thee or Too Big To Jail I'm agin that.
  9. Over/under on total number of candidates for President on the Democrat side for 2020? Also, if she accuses, she must be believed. Or if you do racist things - blackface/KKK robes, even if 30 years ago, you are racist now. Right, Robert Byrd?
  10. TSA officially calling CNN report "fake news." So, CNN does have a track record of such especially anything the current Administration touches. On the other hand, it is the 'gubmint' which has a long, bi-partisan record of: So, who to believe? On the other hand, this could be a blessing in disguise if air travel is rid of the pestilence of TSA. Worst case, short term, is the National Guard a la immediate post-9/11. Funny how Trump is to blame and not the other side of the table as well. This could be a great opportunity for a deal as both sides have drawn a deep line in the sand and if they back down without a countering win, then at least Trump is toast. Which may be the long game of both Democrats and Republicans.
  11. We actually agree. I'm not a Trump the man fan per se. I do like very much what he represents and what he accomplished in upsetting Washington on both sides. I've stated it multiple times before - he beat 16 other run of the mill and/or RINO Republicans, then he beat Hillary. Why is that? Washington, on both sides, didn't like the fact that the plebes upset their collective applecart and are reacting to that 'outrage.' It has been amusing/saddening to see the true intentions/character/actions of the NeverTrumpers and the Republican leadership as well as the Democrats' going full retard in blind opposition (when this is probably the guy to do a deal with). To wit, with the House and the Senate, the GOP refused to repeal Obamacare, among other issues, that they swore, repeatedly, was their priority. They had their chance, for two years, and refused to do so, because they lied repeatedly. If he's allowed to succeed, massive character flaws and all, then the DC good times are jeopardized for a long while, not just this anomaly that thus far has caused the Weekly Standard to go belly-up along with the cushy editorial jobs/TV appearances. So, I want Trump to succeed. Not to stroke his massive, yet curiously fragile, ego, but to demonstrate that the great unwashed masses still run the show, not the select few, or as stated above, "Those in society, who’s opinions matter on the topic." I want to believe that my opinion matters. And I want my children to have that opportunity as well.
  12. Because?
  13. Indeed. What a maroon... Remember when he said, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor?!" In all 57 states? Even if you get your healthcare from a Navy corpseman? Nah...me neither...
  14. Way to go, Ohio! So happy you stuck it to this RINO! https://www.mrpolitic.com/2018/12/27/ohio-legislature-defeats-kasichs-veto-on-gun-owner-rights-bill/ Essentially, the now approved bill makes it the State's burden to prove a self-defense shooting wasn't just that. Previous law, and Kasich's preferred method, is that the individual had to prove innocence. Fcuk him and his horse.
  15. I'm with her!
  16. Soooo...how do I get into that club where the laws don't apply equally? Pretty sweet place to be...
  17. For most of your post: For this " Hmmm...to me, my opinion matters and Hillary's still not President.
  18. Obama "mishandled" and Trump fired as Hillary "mishandled" her TS/SCI (and above) e-mails and I'd be in Leavenworth for doing the same.
  19. Further, McCrystal talked smack about Obama (to a reporter, no less!) and was rightly fired. Mattis talks smack to the President, egged on by the press, and Trump's the one at fault. Gospel on one hand. Blasphemy on the other. Farewell, logic and facts. We hardly knew ye...
  20. Remind me, how much time did Obama give Mattis when he relieved him of command in CENTCOM?
  21. Mattis' letter is the most polite way to say "go fuck yourself sideways, Mr. President." FIFY.
  22. Oddly, the after lunch utter retraction by the judge to Flynn didn't receive the same breathless coverage. https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2018/12/18/michael-flynn-judge-courtroom-perez-sot-vpx.cnn And on a separate but related note: CNN's Journalist of the Year, 2014 https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2018/12/20/when-news-really-is-fake-german-reporter-admits-fabricating-coverage-leading-news-magazine/?utm_term=.ea613fcf663a
  23. If only the last guy had had multiple SECDEFs during his tenure... Seriously, Gates staying for as long as he did was disasterous... But then there was a string of guys coming from the bench. But that was perfectly fine, I guess.
  24. If you had written this at the commitment of US direct forces on the ground in Syria, I'd have been right there with you. But leaving? Please to explain what vital national interest is served by having ground forces in Syria? And what success would look like and how would it be achieved? And, of course, you remember Obama's red line of death which he enforced, right?
  25. Couldn't agree more. 1. It's not government's place to do healthcare. 2. GOP has been just as big a deliberate impediment to the Trump election by the unwashed masses as have the Democrats and most of the press. GOP had Congress and the White House and did not, among others: 1. Repeal Obamacare 2. Start securing the southern border 3. Pass national reciprocity. The Leviathan does not like change and has reacted accordingly. I'll say it again; gotta hand it to the Democrats: when they get power, they use it. Republicans do not because someone's feelings will be hurt.
