  1. The 940th has RPAs and maybe the 919th. And space with the 310th. They're part of 10 AF. As for vacancies if you have a portal account and can get on AFPC secure, you can look in RMVS but that only shows completely vacant position and a lot of units do overages. http://www.afrc.af.mil/Units/
  2. The AF capitulated to pressure. The AvB PSDM was changed today and now early takers still have the additional year, but they get paid for it if they renegotiate it. "Aviators will be paid for the additional year of commitment at the renegotiated annual contract amount."
  3. I'm pretty sure that the May board was the first of more frequent (monthlyish?) boards like the NGB. I can't remember the exact cycle. It was the first AFRC board held at Randolph instead of HQ AFRC.
  4. Allegedly all the info I saw says T-X is supposed to chosen by this December. But that means a other year of GAO protests
  5. UPT: Sponsored: 34 Selects, 38 Applicants Unsponsored: 3 Selects, 6 Applicants The getting is good.
  6. 3 of 6 unsponsored guys were selected from what I saw.
  7. A lot of times evidence is needed to gain that public awareness. Otherwise, posts are disregarded.
  8. Found this patch in a consignment shop. Any of you old hats around when this first was made?
  9. Unfortunately the lack of inflationary adjustment to flight pay has limited me to only a Ninja blender. Although it has a lot of bells and whistles, it's no Vitamix. I suppose this is how someone feels when owning a Corvette ZR1 rather than a true exotic, supercar.
  10. True, you need someone else to fly while you get ATIS
  11. If you don't take the bonus, the Air Force doesn't let you fly. It happened in the 90s. It was basically the threat that you wouldn't fly until your ADSC ends so good luck getting an airline job being non-current
  12. That's no bueno. Even making a flying squadron have a fully staffed CSS, there's the fact of deployments, lack of assignment control, just general AF buffoonery. It's hard to not go to the airlines from a pure finance/QoL standpoint
  13. Unless it's on a contract counter signed by AFPC/CC I don't believe it.
  14. The Reserves are a little behind the power curve. We're currently getting manpower studies/updated UMDs that move the CSSs to the group level. Oh and SQ/CCs lost their secretaries! Wahoo!
  15. I don't know why you would do that. I don't even think you technically can. UOQs are government owned and they take the full rate BAH.
  16. No it was staying in the UOQs (dorms) at UPT base WHILE getting BAH for your HOR. It happens, but is illegal.
  17. He's saying if you're denied continuation you can TERA.
  18. HPOs don't have to worry about lesser mortals
  19. So now since they have a signed non-continuation letter could they take the involuntarily separation pay now?
  20. Perfect he can go to a reserve unit, get a twice passed over waiver, and then be an airline pilot and keep his TR job.
  21. I got back my 4th of July since it was going to run till the 7th, no complaints from me.
  22. Interesting enough there still is the MilPDS code for dudes that enrolled in Phoenix aviator back in the day. Edit: A quick Google search says the meeting is on Thursday May 18.
  23. Do you have any details of the recent meeting? That article is from 1997.
  24. O/A-X is light attack/LAAR. A-X is A-10 replacement.
  25. Test Pilot PSDM dropped today on MyPers. Reserve and Guard pilots are allowed to apply. Make sure you search under Active Duty Officer.
