This program has made me excited about being a human again. We were made to explore. Flying in space has always been a fascinating thought for me. It's good to see someone with that same passion for space exploration, doing something to make it happen. Say what you will about Mr Musk, but he definitely is pushing mankind to be space exporers in a manner that rivals NASA in the 60s and 70s.

I imagine, they'll have to go through a mountainous flying mission upgrade when they arrive to the unit. There have been a several instances of students torching engines at KIKR during EP sorties. Due to high DA and lack of experience flying in it. Going from a 30 percent power margine to less than 10 or even sometimes zero is quite a change for a student. In my opinion, they should have kept the training at KIKR. I guess it will be easier to teach students to fly a new aircraft at sea level but the high-da, mountainous flying ops will be the responsibility of the gaining unit. In the end, its not about making the best pilots. It's about keeping polictians happy.

I just watched one of my sons graduate USN bootcamp. He shot expert! He's off to Coronado for SWCC training. The navy did a good job with the graduation. All of the people in attendance were super stoked that their loved ones were now sailors. All walks of life were present. Very cool seeing all different types of Americans being happy together and serving this great nation.
