  1. Do explain the income cap ....
  2. Sidebar .... getting the va rating stuff (if any) figured out as soon as you separate is paramount. It’s not about the money (and you can decline it if it suits your moral high ground). It’s about getting service connection and a “chain of evidence” established while its fresh....so that 40 years from now when you need a kidney transplant because the chem trails cocktail of the month turned out to be carcinogenic you aren’t thoroughly screwed. Dont scoff the va stuff. It’s worth the effort early. And glad to hear you’ve got everything all figured out ....
  3. Getting into the check-of-the-month club makes a lot of follow on decisions much much easier. Recommend.
  4. Delta gives you about $900k for free*
  5. Meh. It’s a paycheck
  6. On the upside, you can knock out a masters with very little extra effort and if you can fog a mirror you’ll make O-5. On the downside, it’s usaf pme in all its glory.
  7. You have a lot of odd assumptions in your spreadsheet. And I would expect $390k to do a little better than $200k
  8. Quite the opposite. They’re practiced a lot. But a lot of favorable events have to occur to dead stick a viper and successfully stop on the pavement. Proximity to a field, energy state, weather, traffic, loadout, etc. Even without pilot skill factored in....its about 50/50.
  9. Sfo’s Are a 50/50 proposition at best. The Air Force knows it. There are lots of vipers .... glad the pilot got out.
  10. Unless something changed recently, Adair Lts know their follow on .... usually a raptor. They may screw themselves (washout of b course) but I havent Heard of any institutional screwing. Longterm career effects similar to faiping id imagine .... but yet to be seen.
  11. If it’s not enroute, you may be entitled to a 500# Tmo move. Its been a while, but we rented an apartment in universal city, and used the 500# tmo move for a couch and bed.
  12. They don’t give career field incentive pay to doctors AFTER their commitment is up.....
  13. Half your age plus seven.
  14. There’s a sucking hole that’s only getting worse. If you’re behind the sucking hole, you’ll be pulled along appropriately.
  15. 8 hours now. Much better
  16. You have noticed the bar being slowly lowered over the last decade or so .... right?
  17. That rule (or wom in some cases) varies by airframe community. It was usually in 11-2F-xx vol 3
  18. Who could have possibly predicted this outcome ......
  19. Why fix it? you still get the day off, but don’t have to burn a day of leave. Winning.

Heavier, yes! bulkier? Meh. I never thought so. Try a shorter (3”) barrel for concealed carry. It’s awesome, my 3” shoots just as well as my 5” at ccw type defensive ranges, you get .45 inch holes in things, and it makes a wonderful blunt object when you’re out of ammo.
