  1. "NYC college students learning ‘How to Steal’ — as class teaches ‘line between private property and public good is drawn in blood’." True. Take my property and there will be blood.

  4. What the cherry on top is someone (probably eventually the taxpayer) paying hyper inflated tuition for that.

  5. So you want 1500 pilots a year...timeline is an issue...and you pick the Italians to test it. RIght... They are known for their rigid attention to time after all. Next we should send our maintainers to Alfa Romeo to learn how to do vehicle electronics.

  6. I just flew a trip to Venice with a Captain born in Bologna, Italy. Obviously he speaks fluent Italian. He could not understand the heavily accented Italian controllers speaking English just like the other two of us in the cockpit. Kind of hilarious.

  7. Ok they are running a trial / experiment, is that the environment where you are going to get data that you can use to make policy? A training program, run in a foreign country, in a jet that the USAF does / has not flown and flown I suspect primarily with non US military IPs… this is not going to be the process you will use, is it really a representative test? If it were a USA based USAF instructed in an aircraft the USAF operated and/or was ready to run a larger training program in if the SGTO batch worked out, that were truly representative of an average student pilot and not some ringers they hand pick I think you would have a better case to run with this idea. Edit: no offense intended to DirkDiggler, just posting my two cents on the experiment and it’s execution being conducted

  8. Well if you've ever briefed/executed/debriefed with Italians you know exactly how it's gonna go.

  12. I wouldn’t say they’re the least competitive, but I don’t know if they’re the most. Truth is there are a ton of airframes you can go to from UCT, so as long as a class’s spread is decent then most people get what they want or something close to it.

  13. @bs98 Are you gate complete? If you need to take a break from flying, find a staff job or IMA job. I left Active Duty last summer and my mind is boggled by all the ways to serve/get paid as a Reservist. Should be way smoother to get back in a cockpit going that route than by switching to RPAs.

  14. Probably would be easier to take a non-flying job all together rather than going RPA. Probably easier on your chances of flying again.
