It turns out, as always, research findings aren't quite a simple as the google-able sound bites you search in order to try to win internet arguments. Having actually done research before helps you know that findings are always couched in caveats, statistical uncertainty, and specificity of their application. But by all means, let's take snippets from the abstract of a research paper on a disease in chickens and extrapolate the results as gospel to a completely different virus in a completely different species with a completely different type of vaccine. Here's an article from some experts: professors of microbiology and epidemiology (good enough for you?) And it is actually about covid.. in humans.. not a different disease in chickens, and they talk about how the large population of unvaccinated is the key driver of mutations. The argument boils down to this: A mutation is a random event that is extremely unlikely to make the virus more contagious or virulent. Even if it does, it's extremely unlikely that mutation will be passed on to someone else. This is called the population bottleneck. The population bottleneck helps prevent new mutations emerge because the odds are stacked against the virus. A couple months into my first tour my family asked what it was like..."it must be so exciting." I started to think about it and could not find the words to describe what a life drain it was. Walking into the building every morning, with every step closer you find yourself looking down, no one makes eye contact, no one says hello...you enter with the sole purpose of trying to survive and mark another calendar day off your sentence. In the beginning I was idealistic, maybe I can make a difference, then I saw how the sausage was made and the absolute selfishness, the dysfunction and the parochial decision making that defies logic and the good of the nation. It didn't take long to become jaded and salty. I watched the Navy lie and runs deal behind everyone's back to absolutely screw the Air Force AND the nation. During my second tour I watched a now sitting three star outright lie and manipulate the system to screw warfighters...AFSOC could have had all J models to replace the most deployed AC-130's and MC-130's YEARS ago AND they were already paid for, but this absolute scum bag argued AMC needed to homogenize the slick fleet at Yokota...which was doing one AEF rotation every 18 months at that point. I remember sitting across the table from him after a meeting with DEPSECDEF trying to appeal to his common sense..."these are by FAR the most deployed and used aircraft in the Air Force...63-64 year model MC-130Ps and 69 year model AC-130Hs that are flying three times the programmed hours every year and need to be replaced now...think of the young men and women we are sending out to fight in these machines. He just looked back at me with a blank stare...sickening. I have no idea how these people look themselves in the mirror. Speaking of mirrors, this was one of the best days in my career.

Best post in this entire thread. For everyone who hasn’t done a tour in DC/Pentagon, who’s forgotten what it’s like, or who’s old and angry and wants somebodys butt, keep in mind: 1. DC is a cesspool. It is a terrible terrible unwholesome crazy 68 square miles surrounded by reality. What happens there is as much theater as truth. 2. Everything is deliberate. 3. Politics is about power. Power is about money. (In the end, everything is about money. Follow the dollars.) 4. You don’t know the full story, nor will you. 5. DC is a paradox. Not everything is newsworthy, or as bad/impactful as the news makes it. Unfortunately, when things unravel they unravel quickly, and you never know whats going to tip the scale, so pay attention to everything. My advice for anyone going there is to enjoy it as best you can, learn to swim with the sharks without chumming the water via your mistakes, then get the hell out of there as quick as you can. Guys, I can't prove this 100% via science (but who listens to those nerds anyhow); I think that 4th COVID injection I got a couple days ago increased my girth! So this morning I was getting in a quick pre-simulator jack and something just felt different. Fuller. More Bigger. Meatier. I'm about a solid 5/16" around on a good day but this morning things were really on the up and up. I've been maintaining my pretty standard diet of 1600 ounces of red meat/uncured bacon a week and nothing but pure unfiltered rainwater, or grain alcohol for fluids so I know its not diet related. Haven't changed my laundry detergent in awhile so I know its not that either. Anywho, things were moving along in a pretty standard ops fashion when right as I was about to climax the woman who's three doors down from me in billeting (and who unbeknowst to me was silently watching from the bushes next to the window) yells out "oh what a lovely tea party" (I think she's got a head full of sick thoughts). Normally this would've been a complete turnoff for me but she's a ginger who looks like she can squat a good 300lbs so this really sent me to the next level. In the immediate aftermath, you know, in the time where you're usually sitting there silently judging yourself for what you just did or watched, I thought, the world needs to know if its true. And things like this just don't get the right coverage in the MSM anymore. So I grabbed the tape measure I got for free from the FAC when they stopped doing abdominal circumference measurements on the PT tests (would've been a waste to have them throw it out) and quickly wrapped it around my still engorged member. Admittedly, it was a little difficult to read given that my vision was blurry from lack of O2 due to the belt still wrapped around my neck (always phenomenal to win the world's greatest race on a Monday right?) but I'm about 90% positive that it read a solid 0.5", or a total gain of 3/16" for all you public school grads out there. I'll continue to provide updates here as I do more home "experimentation" but if anybody's still on the fence about this vaccine, after my morning all I can ask is what are you waiting for?

Don't waste your time, this dude has proved time and time again that appeals to basic facts, statistics, and reason simply don't work on him. Dude I'm all for holding corporations accountable, and the idea that they will "always act ethically" is for sure a stretch. But do you think all the thousands of employees at Pfizer are just monsters injecting a death sentence into their fellow community members? Given your distaste for homework, I'm sure it was an unpleasant experience to actually find a supporting hypothesis. The guys you are quoted are probably smart guys. However, they didn't actually do any research in the editorial piece you're quoting. They just linked to the research of others... Reasearch that, by the way, is "couched in caveats, statistical uncertainty, and specificity of their application" 😄 It is also important to note that patterns of within-host evolution may differ in individuals with vaccine or infection-induced immunity. Whether antigenic escape mutations arise and are selected within individuals with prior immune exposure remains an open question. Understanding the degree to which within-host evolution is shaped by vaccine and infection-induced immunity, both within-host and globally, will be critical for evaluating the pace of SARS-CoV-2 evolution in the future. That means that the bottlenecks can occur in both vaccine and natural immunity, and that the science is unclear. Certainly not clear enough to proceed with an experimental vaccine with so many questions surrounding it. There is evidence to support multiple theories. The CDC says we have over 83% of the population with COVID-19 immunity present. What would you like to see? 100%? Given the language you're prone to using when posting on the subject ("The virus is still running rampant and unchecked all over the world!"), I highly encourage you to first watch the video I earlier posted regarding "Mass Hysteria" and "Delusions of Totalitarian Psychosis". Then I'll just ask you this: What is it you're hoping to achieve? I don't want to waste my time down here in the weeds unless I know exactly where you're headed with this. Maybe you're just being contrarian and enjoy the game. Maybe you honestly believe a global forced vaccination plan will make the world a better place. If you wouldn't mind, please describe in a reasonable amount of detail, what your desired end state is, and how we achieve it.
