  1. I don't think it does. Just because loads checked good at previous checks does not mean something did not break loose...

  2. I called the ACP manager....number can be found on the AFPC site. He clearly stated: 1. The money is there, it's at the SECAF level. 2. In his 8 yrs doing ACP work, this is the latest it's gone w/out approval. 3. He *expected* it approx 2 weeks ago, but now it could be 1 June. 4. There is no grandfather date. Whatever date you sign the commitment, that's when your ADSC starts. He was very understanding about the situation and polite on the phone. Shouldn't be much longer....

  3. Just a couple points of order... 1. You do realize that isn't really a twitter from Tebow right? 2. The point of the Twitter isn't that Tebow is a hero. The point is the media (and many others) criticize his willingness to be open about his Christianity while they praise Collins (and anyone else who announces they are gay) for being open about his sexuality. Regardless of your personal attitudes toward Christianity or homosexuality, the Twitter raises an obvious and easily observable bias in the media. Which was, I believe, its point.....

  4. Odierno's behavior was wrong. Regardless of what party the d-bag is doing the questioning, it is the military's role to answer factually and unemotionally. Se the one star calling Sen Boxer "Ma'am" for the correct TTP. Here is where I start to put my spin on it vice just the facts: I believe Odierno was p.o.'d, but because Big Green handled DCGS-A badly and have been called out repeatedly by Congress in general and Hunter in particular. Odierno doesn't like having to explain himself. I also believe he has political aspirations in his not too distant future with a big D after his name. This footage will be in campaign ad... edited to spell DCGS-A correctly

  5. Cheers to our loadsmashers who go the extra mile, and prevent our families from seeing videos like this (assuming it was cargo related, as I suspect it was). You dudes don't get enough credit for what you do.

  6. Dupe, as I recall, once your TLE period ends, you only get BAH after that. So you can stay wherever you want, because you won't actually get reimbursed anything else.

  7. For those that are feeling the ammo shortage, at a decent price, here is a few things I found out to increase your ability to procure some rounds, movement may vary, hopefully this helps. Wallyworld has an app that you can download. You can then search for ammunition, and then look for whatever round you are looking for in the store in your AO. If it is In stock, it might be at the counter, or it might not be unstocked from the back, but should be in the store if it is updated. I have purchased 900 rounds of 22LR this way at normal prices. For those out of Wallyworld range you can try mail ordering from sites listed on gunbot.net. The prices of in stock is usually crazy, but it is updated realtime, I have had luck getting .380 and 9mm this way at a decent price. Good luck, ammo is hard to come by, sts.

  8. Dudes, I wish they could and would, but that's not how our system is set up. I see a lot of constitution thumpers around here (me included), so you cant really tell them to pound sand. The thought of the military standing up to our civilian leadership is a nogo for me.

  10. We don't need ACP...we have more than enough pilots who are volunteering to stay.... The Air Force has this under control!

  11. In some ways, yes. My class was the first B-track (as of late) to start a new syllabus that did not require ACM. The craptor dudes had their syllabus significantly shortened (I heard a rumor they just made them hold their breath on the last flight to see how long they could fly!)

  12. That analogy sucks; people who buy lottery tickets are dumb; people who leave active duty for the ANG/AFRC are smart.

  14. Against my better judgement, I googled "peg boy". There is some shit you cannot unknow. That said, the above is an epic insult, and I raise my drink in your general direction*. *I don't know where this is, so I went with the local flightline.

  15. Great, you had to bring that up. Some of those where handed out by worthless Commanders that knew nothing about flying and were only concerned with covering their own ass (and their ass wasn't even on the line, they were just making sure). Most notably, the fire bottle incidents!
