I agree with you, however, right now there is only on group that can CCW nationwide and that is LEOs, hardly your ordinary "civilian" and they get massively more privileges than even we as military members do. I think if the move is made to nationally license people for concealed carry, then it could easily be extended to all other citizens. While what you stated is the case that rights apply to everyone, pushing for everyone at one time has a lower chance of working than a "common sense" (excuse my while I throw up) step in that direction, gotta use the liberals own tactics of one piece of the puzzle at a time since gun rights don't have the majority in all three branches.

Granting concealed carry permits on a national basis for military makes sense, not because we're a 'special class', but because we frequently PCS to states we are not residents of without reciprocity.

some less so, some more so. Most cops don't do IST or compete on their own dime. Really depends on the community. Regardless, I agree with hacker in principal, but will still call any loosening of any gun regulations a win for freedom.

I still frequent scotch. JW gold is one of my favorites and the shoppette sells it for only 55$; typically 90$+ in my local liquor store. I also have a bottle of Yamazaki 18 and a few other notables. But bourbon has it beat man, sorry.

Or you could just discover scotch and see what you've been missing.
  7. Yet nothing will happen. The Generals will stay Generals and the Colonels will become Generals. Sad.

Correct - but the issue here is do you think the average LEO is more competent with a concealed carry firearm than the average vet?

Dislike. Veterans are not "super citizens" who should be entitled to any more rights or privileges than the rest of America. The same goes for law enforcement personnel. There is only one class of citizen in America -- one to which all of the liberties and rights apply to.

anyone else get the email from Maker's Mark saying they were cutting the ABV by 3% to help meet demand?

Got this for $275, not bad considering the current market. I'm picking it up later this week... I know they have a reputation for being a bit finicky with ammo, but what .22 isn't? Even .22 firearm I own has its quirks, but I'm expecting this to be a fun plinker. Cheers! M2

Or just assume their hands are cold and they forgot gloves that day.
  13. I think the most important tribute any of us in the AF can make to men like Raz and of the AF's Vietnam warrior generation is to not allow the heritage they made (and which they carried on from the warriors who had gone before them) to die on the vine because of political correctness. I have a collection of about 60 years' worth of USAF songbooks, going all the way back to Korea. Warriors singing obscene songs -- despite what some might have you believe to further their own agendas -- is most certainly not some kind of recently-manufactured-invented heritage. Turns out, when warriors came back from risking their pink butts in MiG alley and killing enemies to freedom, they liked to unwind by drinking, smoking, and singing off-color songs.
