  1. Apparently "Acts Like Douchebag" was already taken.
  2. This shit aggravates the hell out of me. As a proud member of the Choctaw tribe, references to Indians as brave and fearless always filled me with pride. When I went through Vance, I was excited to train with the 8 Ballers. The Indian scout on their patch, showed their heritage as brave scouts (reconnaissance) in WWII. It is sad enough that our culture and people are almost all gone, but it isn't because of mascots or logos. Greeks don't complain when Spartans are used as mascots. It is a mark of pride. No one picks the fighting frenchmen to be represent their unit.
  3. I've had an unprotected iPad survive a 7 and 5 year old and wife for almost a year and still going strong ... with an otter box it should be nearly indestructible. /edut for spellin
  4. //derail// Out-fucking-standing. Go Pack! //derail complete//
  5. Wrong. SIB is not out (still in MOFE), but the board president made some verbal recommendations against SME advice that are not related to findings but meet AMC 4 star desire to appear to be safer now. This resulted in a memorandum. There is no FCIF because the memorandum is so dicked up (specifically states incomplete/false information about altitude data, checklist changes not associated with an 847 that can't be done because they don't match the current checklist or aircraft systems, etc.) AMC/OGV will not release it as FCIF. Memo mandates changes to tactics that user (US forest Service) has not been informed of and require more passes over a fire to accomplish the same thing (way more risky than changing nothing). This is what happens when a C-5 pilot investigates and he is shocked that one would dare to do tactical flying in a non-fighter type aircraft. Half the memorandum is bullet statements that tell crews and leaders to do their jobs. Gee thanks for the insight - so much safer now.
  6. Wonder what that jackass would say about the 28th's patch since the 28th asked and got permission frrom the Mohawks to keep using it.
  7. I'm offended, that you're offended by this patch! Holy fuck, how are some many people out there offended by bullshit!?!? I can't even remember the last time I saw something or heard something that even remotely offensive to me!
  8. Knee-jerk reaction from AMC, NGB & AFRC puts new restrictions on mission that make it ineffective and have nothing to do with the accident. Way to go leadership. What a sad example of a risk averse set of blues-happy HQ tools. You pushed your ignorant pencils so far up up our asses we can even get the mission done.
  9. Go 28th Bomb Squadron https://www.afhra.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=11738
  10. I love when the "credit" discussion comes up. You guys continue to crack me up when you insist that "using" credit cards is somehow contributing to your wealth. You are doing nothing but putting money into the hands of credit card companies. Plain and simple. Want to be wealthy one day? Start paying in CASH and live on a budget that puts every dollar in its place every week. You'll feel like you got a pay raise, and you won't owe anything to anybody.
