  2. This checks, just have everything ready to go. They will probably ask for things last minute. Have some people you really trust look over your paperwork.
  3. FE as a 1LT is CRAZY. hot damn.
  4. Nope, not yet. I was trying to find out the exact same thing. At least to my knowledge. I did talk to the execs and they said they'd let me know when they want deliverables. I'm expecting sometime soon as the stuff for the application was due around June last year. I'm currently on a TDY so it's been hard to get face to face time with anyone at the squadron. From what I know, (last year) the execs wanted people to write their personal statements and have medical, PCSM, etc squared away so the CC could start working on their LOR and push that towards the group level for the Group CC LOR. From there I think your package goes to the wing and onward, but I'm not sure either!
  5. My first time applying, a 1st Lt and put on Captain in the fall. I am an MQ-9 Evaluator pilot. I got all my quals quickly and have amassed close to 1700 hours in the plane between my enlisted time as a sensor operator and as a pilot. I become a Ops Sup/MCC as a 2d Lt, then became an IP a couple months after I put on 1st Lt. Now as an FE and putting on Capt in fall, I am beyond grateful to have my wife’s support with this. See below my information. PCSM: 96 AFOQT Pilot: 86 PPL and flying on a monthly basis LOR is my from my previous OG/CC who just retired and knew me well and still mentors me to this day. Personal letter is oriented around proven, trusted leadership track record, consistent high performance, leading and serving others and leveraging my unmanned experience to better manned. Highly strated IP in squadron 1/21 Lts DG OTS/IQT 2024 JrCGO OTY and 2025 IP OTY I serve as my squadrons Chief of safety and a graduated flight safety officer “S” coded. I have been fortunate to have been an IO on a class B too. Also a joint LNO aboard the Roosevelt for a major AF/Navy Exercise. I am hopeful for this year, this is my first time applying and do not need any waivers for medical or age. Happy to connect with anyone on here to share more specifics about my app. I have got a lot of mentorship on this process, make sure leadership is captured. Good luck to everyone!
  6. We need about 300% more Growlers…but yeah, let’s burn some on airshows for no good reason. Dumbasses. Glad they’re all alive.
  7. Thanks for creating the Cliff's notes. My eyes started to glaze over after the first paragraph. I felt like Boomer6 when he sees more than three syllables without a space between them 😂🤣
  8. GTCC rental car insurance coverage is not as robust as it seams. Anything OCONUS is probably not covered. And if you need a vehicle for more than 30 days, CONUS or OCONUS, get a new contract at day 30. Or insist on government provided crew transportation, or put the rental burden on the agency controlling your mission requirement. Fortunately I have not witnessed a situation above that involved injury, but have witnessed damage. You do not want to be involved in any flavor of GTCC rental claim, CONUS or OCONUS.
  9. Today
  10. Military, weather, social programs.
  11. Another airline guy checking in here and honestly the only thing that makes an overnight suck is if it’s too short. I hate getting into a cool vibrant city getting put up in the airport hotel. Time for my 6900th shitty hotel burger and fries.. After staying in pretty much every major city in the country multiple times I can confidently say they’re all great. They all also have their rough parts. Use common sense and avoid the rough parts. If you can’t find a way to have a good time on an overnight in LA or SF with some of the best food and bar scenes in the country idk if you can be helped. It’s not that scary guys avoid skid row and the tenderloin and enjoy the rest of these massive awesome diverse cities. On the subject of bodily functions I’ve seen more bachelorette puke on the sidewalks of broadway, 6th, and bourbon than I have human shits in all liberal cities combined. By a factor of ten. Go have a good time and stop letting Fox News convince you these places are scary
  12. The weather and insane social benefits like free dental care for illegals. Spencer Pratt is making waves and his commercials are funny as hell!
  13. Shifting back to a more tactical discussion it appears the Saudis and UAE are VERY upset by the latest attacks from Iran. Pakistan has now joined the Saudis and there is talk of a ground incursion into Iraq to target the threat vector directed at the Kingdom. Saudi has recalled 50,000 reservists. Pakistan has deployed a squadron of fighters and thousands of troops to the Kingdom...next few days are going to be interesting.
  14. Did you hear the one about the lawyer that walks into a bar saying we should follow all the rules then proceeds to break all the rules...holy anger muffin someone needs some meditation and a trip to Costa Rica.
  15. Nope. Do it. What's the magic number? 4? Because I've been to 4 different CA cities and witnessed the horror show with my own eyes. None were SF.
  16. I wonder why California has such a high number of homeless per capita…one of the highest in the country.
  17. I'll be fine 😂🤣
  18. Blancolirio said their airshow flying was an additional duty. Well, that should just about take care of the airshow demos in the Growler. Glad they all got out, but why a colossal waste of money and not a good look for Naval Aviation.

  20. Yesterday
  21. 2018 is a long time ago. You don’t think I can find a picture of someone shitting on the sidewalk in any city in Texas? Just because it happens in SF, doesn’t mean it happens everywhere in CA. What great state do you live in that is a magical utopia. Let me guess, you watch Fox News
  22. That’s a ludicrously stupid assessment. How does one have a real conversation with someone wearing that massive of a tinfoil hat? Copy your “appeal to authority” logical fallacy approach in your last post - I can tell you many military lawyers disagree with you, and I can also tell you many CGOs have made high-level autonomous decisions in combat - it’s not all “CAOC controls everything” land, though I get that does exist at times. Overall, you are dead wrong on much of what you said, specifically when trying to apply it broadly (I’m sure you’ve seen it be true in specific instances, periods of time, etc.) Lastly, nobody does CDE like we do, including the Israelis. Its too bad others aren’t at our level, but that’s one of the things that makes America great.
  23. We are all tracking October 7th = Bad But also, using AI to target low level Hamas dudes when they return to their residence based on cell data and then leveling the whole apartment complex is bad, disproportionate, and yes probably feels a lot like terrorism to the other people who lived in that building and weren’t combatants, if they survive at all. October 7th was horrible but it doesn’t give Israel a blank check to do whatever it wants for all time. I think there was significant sympathy and support for Israel immediately afterward. But we are going on 3 years since the attack, and they’ve leveled Gaza and killed tens of thousands of children. People are, rightly, starting to have an issue with it. It’s not anti-semitism to criticize IDF tactics or specific wartime policies of the Israeli government. Israel critics didn’t just start randomly multiplying in 2024/25. It is directly correlated to how egregious this war has become and the attempts to dismiss any substantive criticism of it as bigotry.
  24. Now see, it's been awhile since I posted here. But I seem to recall a policy about refraining from personal attacks. Not that I expect it will be enforced, but you have to live with yourself. I hope your conscience can bear it. You're not too bright. But that's normal for USAF officers. The service stopped allowing us to make high-judgement decisions as CGOs, which prevented those of us with sufficient humility from getting things wrong, learning, and improving so we could exercise better judgement with time. Because who needs all that when you can issue micromanagerial directives from a CAOC and have your authoritarian wishes enforced by FGO toadies who live for your approval. It's that authoritarian acculturation which has led you to the mistaken idea that disagreement with you, Lord Rat, makes someone unintelligent. But you managed to wedge underneath your toxic upbringing by accusing someone of racism without proper foundation. That marks you as a low-rent piece of shit incapable of the shame you ought to feel for saying it. Not all animals are elephants, but all elephants are animals. Not everyone who criticizes Israel is an anti-semite, but all anti-semites criticize Israel. Not all idiots are lawyers, but all lawyers are idiots. I am a lawyer and an idiot. It's the one correct thing you've said. But it means I was able to sleep through LOAC and still grasp the law of targeting. Whereas you were allegedly awake and still missed the entire meaning. Let me help. When a combatant shelters in a civilian dwelling, the children who live there do not become fair game. The house becomes a lawful target and loses protected status only if/when it makes a substantial contribution to military activity. Like, it becomes a sniper's nest or a comm center or a storage facility for combatant munitions. The fact of a combatant sheltering in a building does not make it a valid target. If this is not what you extracted by drunk-clicking through your LOAC CBT after a Tuesday night Elmer's freebasing session, I'm sorry to make your mental process more complicated. But your obvious ignorance will not be a valid defense, nor does it clothe you in the glory you apparently self-entitle. But wait. There's more. Even if you determine a target co-opted by combatants is valid, you can only attack it if the anticipated military advantage outweighs the harm expected to befall non-combatants. This relies on good faith. That doesn't mean it's a free-for-all. Because you must also take all possible precautions to minimize civilian harm. Anyone in the chain of command who fails to do the above can be personally named in a criminal or civil proceeding. Which assumes a world of laws, and I know we're in a world of men. Which, amusingly, also disqualifies you from participating. 64,000 killed or maimed. 1,000 infants. You don't even think it's wrong. If it was your son, your daughter, your grandchild, you probably still wouldn't, because reptiles just lay more eggs and move on. Wrap whatever pretty bow you want around this turd. But if you want to pretend it's chocolate, you have to eat it. Here's a fork. Because if one thing is clear, it's that you deserve to be forked.
  25. That was not within Q1 standards for a V1 cut.
  26. Your entire point relies on mischaracterizing every element of the war. Israel has not targeted civilian non-combatants. At any point. However terrorist combatants, or military combatants depending on how you want to characterize Hamas, have absolutely hidden themselves and their equipment under and behind civilians. Which, as anybody who stayed awake during a law of armed conflict class would remember, makes them viable targets. Hamas did not Target Israeli military installations on October 7th. They targeted a music festival and a bunch of pacifist towns. They didn't walk away from women and children who were alone in the house unarmed, they raped and killed them. The women and children were the target, not collateral damage. So you're either a troll, an anti-semite, or an idiot. I suspect all three.
  27. Everything you argue depends on non-combatants in Gaza and Iran being culpable for October 7th. They are non-combatants. They have no agency. Collective punishment is antithetical both distinction and necessity. You're answering the question "how can I justify this?" But the right answer to the wrong question is still the wrong answer. The right question is "why are pretending to be great while settling for being Israel's military gimp?"
  28. I was there Saturday and thought they were really sloppy and spread out but gave the benefit of the doubt to the 30kt winds. Maybe they are new to the demo team, but it was sad display compared to having seen the same demo team in the past. Certainly nothing like the Viper demo.
