  2. You know.. you're not wrong I need a longer memory. Although I'd argue it's not worked more times than it has. Also our acquisitions process is exponentially more f*ed today than it was at the time they were building F-4s, but that's more of an indictment of all programs not just joint ones
  3. Today

  4. Makes way too much sense. Keep using strategic assets to bang out touch & goes and training sorties. My favorite thing about being a Tanker pilot is wondering if "today's the day" my T-6-only trained copilot gave me a pod scrape.
  5. ACC gets L-39NGs; AMC, AFGSC gets CJ-3s, C-12s; AFSOC gets PC-12s; AETC gets Gamebird GB1s. ACC program is red air, target simulation and large formations and some air demonstration work. Stick & rudder in an analog controls jet, reps and tactical air work experience building. AMC & AFGSC is proficiency building via light utility / liaison missions. Experience building learning a new type, seeing the commonalities among all technologically advanced, automated transport and commuter types and general operational experience. Jets and turboprops split, mix and match if appropriate with Wings based on iron they fly. AFSOC is reps and sets in a light advanced, turboprop. NVG, short field, exercise and team support. Airdrop utility door, EO/IR sensor, all options Pilatus offers on PC-12s now. AETC program is an IP enrichment assignment/duty and run by AETC for other commands, rated staff in non-flying billets and training activity for Nav, EWO, WSO, CSO, ABM, etc community. If capacity allows, fly Airmen of the moment, stand outs, etc as an incentive program. Tailwheel instruction is part of the plan and with the low footprint of this airplane, could be done as a traveling program. This sounds expensive but in reality it’s budget dust and saves money, wear and tear on the Crown Jewels, builds a better rated force and grows esprit de corps because pilots want to fly.
  6. Yesterday

  7. Tennessee lethal injection
  8. It's Arkansas, so I'd guess it started with the police running a red light, hitting this guys car, then blaming it on him.
  9. Very well could be and idk if they’re related or not
  10. How does this happen?
  11. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought there were TWO incidents? The possible fuel thieves that were released then the Brits arrested an Iranian late last week with ties to a possible operation against the bombers. After Operation Spiderweb I would rather they act on the side of caution.
  12. Trump also said they "were looking to do big damage" and they "had been under joint surveillance by U.S. and British authorities for a long time." Except from what's been reported it looks like suspicious activity was noticed and called in by some random local farmer and then turned out just to be fuel thieves?? Also you don't just up and move 12x bones in 24 hours without max effort of everyone involved. I'm sure they were jumping through their assholes to make that happen. Seems like some potential new threat caught them by surprise or we're not being told everything about the original dudes. But who knows. At this point this is the kind of scattershot messaging retardation we've come to expect from this admin. At least it's a win for the crews though, now they get to be at home with their families to watch the 69th round of [negotiations -> oh wait nevermind we're threatening obliteration again -> nevermind back to negotiations] rather than flying once a month and watching paint dry at a forward operating location
  13. Hearing reports that some ACC fighter units are getting ONE sortie per month thanks to the Iran conflict...recipe for disaster and further demonstrating we need some sort of seasoning program that can pick up the airmanship slack.
  14. Lots of confusing info. The first guys caught were quickly released and it was suggested they might have simply been trying to steal fuel. Now they arrested an Iranian and people are paying more attention.
  15. Maybe he's making room for more diversity on the staff. Doing so obviously made the US military better. His current team seems rather monochromatic.
  16. Mother of pearl, thank you for that throwback memory!
  17. From the recording it does not sound like it was acknowledged. Regardless, if you are on an IFR clearance, without declaring you can't just decide to change altitudes on your own. Dude goes on to say "we were trying to prevent declaring an emergency"....then you need a clearance!
  18. Considering the released the dudes they caught last time, I'd be concerned too.
  19. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2026/10/04/us-b1-bombers-uk-base-security-concerns/92095345007/ 👀 12/12 jets evac'd short notice.. guess there was still something concerning going on
  20. Finally they realize the genius of ideas proposed on base ops
  21. New development on this thread, looks like this program is coming soon: https://simpleflying.com/b-1-lancer-crews-now-logging-proficiency-hours-honda-buisness-jet/ It will be interesting to see how AFGSC integrates these Honda Jets in the future.
  22. correct me if i'm wrong, but did Hive91 not say on the radio that they called out them descending to 12?
  23. Surely having one company make similar combat aircraft for the sister services will boost efficiency right.. right??
  24. Last week

  25. We are in agreement, they are 100% wrong. However.. this is what the Air Force is going to get when you gut training. Giving guys and girls their wings after a T-6 only syllabus. More time in the air is the fix.
  26. Hell there is a guy with a citation that will declare an emergency just because of the sun.
