  1. I want to say, “no way this passes,” but also I guess I won’t be surprised if it does.
  2. @Lord Ratner As long as they’re stapled, I’m all for it! Kill the regional model, pay legacy rates, and yeah the new guys will probably get RJs/717/220 only at indoc with the lowest pay rate, but they’ll be at a large carrier on the list and will bid over to larger NB soon enough (or fly one trip with CA @SocialD involving hookers and blow on a berg layover and they’ll never leave the fleet!)
  3. Great, but the problem is who is the arbiter of this? Because there are tons of people who viewed completely valid and accurate information regarding Covid as “dangerous misinformation” and went through great lengths to silence said information because “the people couldn’t handle it/decide for themselves.” I believe critical thinking is mostly dead in this country and around the world, but at the same time it will never be worth going down the freedom-trampling road of the govt deciding what information/opinions the population should and should not consume. AOC for example is one of the dumbest people to ever been given a public voice, but the people have every right to listen to every word she says if they want to. I disagree with her existence beyond being behind a bar slinging beers, but this is America and she was voted in and thats the end of it. Censoring anything at a govt level is for communist shit holes, not the United States of America.
  4. If it takes 20 years to get a MOA, then it should take the FAA 20 years to conduct this age increase safety assessment.
  5. Ha! If this describes any of you, self report and turn your man card in immediately!
  6. Ha, didn’t notice that. Now that I actually looked for more than 1.69”, it is almost certainly fake news.
  7. One is a pilot wife for sure, so real? Wow, I think my wife might actually punch someone in the face if they asked her to be in something like this. But, whatever floats your boat!
  8. Yep, valid, my bad. Personally I just don’t see the point of not investing for greater ROI (assumption that LT is going to fork over the $450 monthly payment out of his paycheck). But I suppose if he’s unable to do that due to extenuating circumstances, copy shot. But if there aren’t extenuating circumstances and he’s just choosing to spend the $450 on dumb shit while collecting minimal interest, then I still think that’s a overall not a smart choice.
  9. It’s sad. Thankfully rural kids are still going strong, but suburban/city kids are almost completely lost it seems.
  10. Still risky because now we’re assuming savings accounts paying > 2.99% will exist for the next 5 years (assuming that’s the USAA loan term). Savings accounts could be paying max of .5% in 2 years for all we know (or maybe not, but point is nobody knows). But it’s kind of a moot argument anyways, because even a 2LT can afford a $450 payment, unless they have specific, negative financial circumstances out of their control. So assuming he can pay the $450 out of the paycheck, he’ll make way more money over time doing something other than a savings account.

Have you tried talon grips? I put the rubber version on mine and really like them. Cheap and easy to install. No issue against bare skin when IWB carrying.

Glocks are great guns - simple, accurate and dependable as fuck. Their only crime is bland looks, but I don’t give a shit about that, especially on “purpose-driven” guns. Range toys are for fucking around with fancy shit. And if you can’t stand stock, a trigger, sights, barrels, springs, etc. are not expensive, easy to find, and easy to replace. I had a buddy give me shit once because I “had to” replace the trigger on my glocks, so that’s why they suck. Even with that and a aftermarket barrel on that particular Glock, I was still less money in than his malfunction trainer…I mean Kimber.
  13. Meanwhile crickets on BLM protests, the recent riot at the WH, zero fucks given about the illegals they just released in NY who attacked the cops, J6 people who at most should have had misdemeanors with no jail time are getting heavy sentences, etc. If the law was applied equally, that’s one thing, but the law is massively absent for the left and heavy handed on anyone on the right/viewed as a threat to left policies (perceived or otherwise). I would be equally appalled and pissed if the current status of justice was reversed in the opposite political direction. Politics and favoritism have no place in justice, but here we are, watching “political opponents” being taken down/silenced/persecuted by the left DOJ and AGs/judges all over the country. Every American should be horrified, regardless of how you vote at the ballot box.
  14. Copy leveraged vs. not. If he can’t afford/doesn’t want to pay the monthly back to USAA from his AF paycheck, then he shouldn’t be taking this loan at all, for anything. So with the assumption that he’s not retarded enough to take out a loan he can’t pay back from his primary income source, he’s been given lots of good ideas.
  15. @Lord Ratner Here’s a great index fund to dump that money in…if you look at this picture and still stand by your opinion, well then as Biff would say, LOL. Edit: VFIAX for anyone interested

Got to roughen those delicate hands up. It’s either comfortable shooting or continuing to go through 69 oz of Jergens a week…your call! CH in retirement…
  17. @Lord Ratner What? He’s young and should get started on long term investment. Now is absolutely the time to put money in things like a SP500 index. A simple index will massively outperform his 2.99% debt. It’s also lower risk than buying individual stocks. Your advice to not do that is either retarded or you’re assuming he wants to cash out the hypothetical investment in a few years. If it’s the latter, I see that point, but also cashing out in a few years is exactly the opposite of smart long term investing. I DGAF about 2008, and the simple reason is I didn’t lose my mind and pull out all my investments. I now have tons of gains from the very money I “lost” in that time period. If I was 60 at the time, it would have been different, but I was in my 20s with tons of time to wait it out. Buy early, buy often, have patience and emotional control = all someone needs to do in their 20s to build a solid base for retirement.
  18. That’s all the claim has ever applied to. And now the clock has been reset to a couple days. It was inevitable.
  19. Biden’s too busy filling his depends beyond capacity in this picture to be doing coke. And Kamala is too busy practicing writing her lowercase alphabet on the big lined paper used in kindergarten.
  20. All about money and shinny new things. The Swiss have zero need for the F-35. It’s actually probably a negative for them, and should have gone with Block 70 Vipers, new Super Hornets, etc. Similar applies to multiple partner countries.
  21. Dump it into a SP500 index fund and never log in to check on it, ever, no matter what. You’ll be glad you did.
  22. Seen it happen several times…no rule, but generally they’re around for 2-3 years post MQT before changing units/doing a VLPAD. The ARC is generally far better at caring about what’s best for you than AD is. Any good CC will support him doing what’s best for his life. But up to the day he leaves, be a good dude and put the effort in. That will make leadership care more about helping out.
  23. Americans are greatly overextended. The economic outlook is not good for the middle class. If you’re wealthy or poor/illegal, you‘ll be taken care of.
  24. Completely serious. Biden is as big a POS human as the political class comes. Maybe look beyond his current dementia, going all the way back to the early days. He and his family (and many of the elite in the US) are selfish dirtbags who think they are above the law and better than all of us not in said elite class. If you can’t see that, I guess you actually do have TDS. Making excuses for Biden as if he’s a better human than Trump is ludicrous and uninformed. At best they’re both equally shit. I don’t put Desantis or Vivek in the political class (we’re taking people like Schumer, Pelosi, McConnell, etc.) I actually don’t like Haley much, but while very much establishment, she is better than all the aforementioned names (not including Desantis/Vivek imo). In the end, I would have much rather seen Desantis, Vivek or Haley be the nominee, and would happily vote for any of them vs. the shitshow that the Dems are. But here we are, and I’m voting based on policy, not emotions. Votes driven by emotion is how we’ve arrived at this point.
