  1. Ah there it is. The single most dangerous word in use in America today. You got the fairness part right, but there is nothing about Justice that has to be equitable. In fact there has been nothing in the founding of this country that has desired or guaranteed “equitable” outcomes. The left really struck a home run when they realized how easily equitable could be transposed for equality and use it to confuse the masses on what we should be striving for. Btw, here’s Cornell’s definition of justice. “Justice is the ethical, philosophical idea that people are to be treated impartially, fairly, properly, and reasonably by the law and by arbiters of the law, that laws are to ensure that no harm befalls another, and that, where harm is alleged, a remedial action is taken - both the accuser and the accused receive a morally right consequence merited by their actions.” The rest of your post is idiocy honestly. Cops killing anyone they want and eradicating LGBTQ people? Could you be more of a caricature of super leftest speak?
  2. It’s amazing how fast that city has turned into a complete shit hole. My sister and her now husband moved there in 2010 and there were some pockets of this already and probably had been for a while, but it was still mostly just weird Portland. It’s completely off the rails these days and only accelerated after 2020, George Floyd riots, etc… Lots of other Democrat heavy cities and towns are following suit, and not just the expected ones like LA, San Fran, Austin. Asheville NC used to be one of my favorites cities on the east coast and it’s got encampments and heavy drug use now too.
  3. “The military is not pushing woke agendas” - CSAF, Sec Def, etc…
  4. It absofuckinglutely blows my mind that women, and even more crazy, some women athletes, are actually okay with biological men pretending to be women competing against them and ultimately beat them. This is not some gray area of personal beliefs. It’s absolutely solid science that men have an athletic advantage over women. I could give two fucks if some dude wants to cut his dick off, or wear dresses, or take pills to pump estrogen in his body. It’s a free country, do whatever you want. But it wasn’t that long ago women couldn’t even compete in sports. And now we’re going to piss all of that away to appease a fraction of a percent of the society.
  5. One simply cannot support women and also support trans men competing in women’s sports. It doesn’t matter how you feel about transgender people, it is pure discrimination to allow a biological man to compete against a woman. There is nothing more cut and dry if you believe in science and fairness. I ran Division 1 track; our shittiest dude was faster than our NCAA Championship caliber female. If he had decided he wanted to be a woman, he would have won the NCAA Championship the next day. It’s also not a knock against women that they aren’t as fast or as strong as a man. Trust me, no one gave a crap that our slowest guy on the team was still faster than our best woman. Everyone simply thought our best woman was a hell of an athlete, because she absolutely was.
  6. All the back and forth aside, it’s going to be a very sad time for our country if the 2024 election is Trump vs Biden again. I honestly have no idea what I’m going to do if those are the choices. I voted for Trump twice, and don’t regret either one, but I won’t do it a third time because he is not the person to lead the country out of the mess it’s in. I plan to vote in a primary for the first time in my life next year, even though my state’s primary is pretty unimportant, I feel like I need to do something to try and prevent Trump from being the nominee.
  7. ESPN honoring a man who wants to be a woman during Women’s History Month is truly classic.
  8. https://simpleflying.com/guess-which-country-has-the-most-female-pilots/ According to this article, the best ratio in the entire world is Air India at 12%. The other European nations mentioned pretty closely match the ratio in the US. The article mentions the Nordic country of Finland as having one of the lowest percentages, but then doesn’t mention the actual number. I searched myself and found a Facebook post from Finn Airlines themselves in 2017 that said 3% of their pilots are female. That same post mentioned 88% of their cabin crew is female. So is there some global conspiracy against women in aviation now too? There’s a couple “progressive” countries listed in that article with a nearly identical ratio to the United States. This is the problem with chasing “equitable” statistics, they don’t hold up to the reality of what actual human beings desire to do. Like has been said a million times in this thread, there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to get as many girls and women interested in aviation as possible. I’m certain that everyone in here has flown with some kickass female pilots. But what happens if in 20 years we double the amount of Female ATPs, but they still only represent 10% of the airline pilot community? Instead of celebrating success at doubling the interest of women in aviation, I’d be willing to bet a significantly large sum of money the leftists of the this forum and country would still be decrying the “inequitable” world of aviation.
  9. Seriously dude? Do you really think this is how the real world works? The real world does not have a perfectly symmetrical representation of demographics spread evenly throughout every single aspect of life. Want to know why? Because actual people are not defined by their race, gender, sexual orientation, etc… People are people; made up of their own experiences, desires, and preferences that have absolutely zero to do with their uncontrollable physical attributes. Want to know how stupid your comment sounds? The NBA is 75% black, but 75% of the population is white. Youth basketball should obviously be made up of 75% white kids as the entry point to the sport. Gotta make those demographics even and match reality. Oh wait, no one would argue that.
  10. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/florida-bill-require-bloggers-write-governor-legislators-register-stat-rcna73191?fbclid=IwAR2fPxt60T5arwOqe02KRhl-bA4lEnk82G2727d5ueLoxKaRo4DbUnxhG80 Well looks like individuals on both sides of the aisle want to introduce ridiculous bills. This one was just introduced in Florida by a Republican state legislator.

Don’t forget about Sepp Kuss on Jumbo! Already has a stage win from 2021 Tour and two Vuelta stages. None last year in the Tour, but was a huge part of Vingegaard‘s win.
  12. It’s that green in Ukraine in the winter? Old video?
  13. Easy. If people had access to jobs like that in these countries, the mass of humanity that has flooded the southern border over the past decades would come to a halt, thus diminishing the ability of those in DC to play power politics with the demographics and voting trends of certain humans. Certainly can’t allow that to happen.
  14. Glossing over a lot here. The Maidan protests started over the pro-Russian government backing out of a pro-western Europe trade agreement, bowing to heavy pressure from Putin. It’s not like the CIA just jumped in there and tried to overthrow this dude like we have history of doing in South America. There was legitimate anger from the Ukrainian population. Sure western support came when the protests started making actual waves, but this was not some random decision by the CIA. This was a continuing trend of all of Eastern European counties that are looking west for future ties and not east to a place and nation that has raked them over the coals countless times. Eastern Ukraine also didn’t start getting shelled until Russia took Crimea and some of the eastern areas with their little green men and installed puppet separatists with a small faction of local militia that was mostly supported by actual Russian military. Also, the theory of an intensely divided Ukraine has proven to not be so true. Yes, elections pre-2014 should an even split in terms of east vs west preference, but most of this seems to have come from corruption, voter suppression, and voter intimidation under Russian influence. After Russia took Crimea elections have shown a strongly western leaning voting pattern across all regions of Ukraine. Ukraine military gains in the east also haven’t stirred up a hornets nest of angry citizens mad that Russian soldiers are gone. They’ve come across people desperately glad that the Ukrainian military has removed Russian occupation.
  15. I realize most on here haven’t had to deal with the regionals, or at most made brief stops there, but I know there’s also a few of us floating around that are prior mil career changers who are in aviation now and doing it the civilian way to 1500 hours. So along that line, I’m looking for a little advice from the airline guys on here. Unfortunately, the music has essentially stopped right now at the regional level in terms of 1500 hour FO hiring. The regionals have a huge Captain shortage and newbie FOs are pretty much worthless to them right now being at least 1,000 hours away from the left seat. As such, the hiring has ground to a halt unless you are a direct entry Captain or can quickly become one. I got my apps in at Endeavor and the AA wholly owned as I was approaching my mins and it was radio silence. Decided to try some of the “lower tier” regionals as well like CommutAir, Air Wisconsin, etc… and it’s been nordo from them too. Several coworkers are getting the same lack of response too so it’s not just me. I currently teach at one of the IFT programs for the mil, I’ll not say which one to keep this somewhat anonymous. So the job is enjoyable and stable, but I have to imagine packing on piston engine time past 1,500 hours doesn’t do too much for the resume. Should I be looking at other opportunities like FedEx feeder cargo or similar, or just keep playing the waiting game for a regional to call?
  16. Three years later and this horseshit is still going on. What’s even more hilarious is it’s “regardless of vaccination status”. Also very fitting that you can’t leave a comment on the post. 2 weeks to stop the spread.
  17. Standing by for the FBI raid of the Biden household.
  18. I’ll share what I posted in this exact same thread over a year ago about Kinzinger. This dude continues to proves he’s the same clown he was over a year ago.
  19. He’s a useful pawn to leftist media. They can throw him up there with a R next to his name to provide an imaginary aura of balanced coverage while he still spouts off their desired message. I wonder if he still reads this thread?
  20. Makes sense, appreciate the response. Yeah from my unaffiliated point of view it seemed there’s nothing that could be a direct replacement. Saw them a few times out at HMT when I was living and flying in SoCal. The OV-10 was always one I’d love to get some stick time in too.
  21. Historically Hispanics have favored the democrat party. But you make a good point; the Hispanic community in this country is generally hard working, family oriented, and religious. Hardly the pillars of the modern woke left. IMO this demonstrates the hidden racism of the modern far left. They simply assume that due to historical trends and skin color, these people will continue to vote for them.
  22. Has there been any thought on a future replacement of the S-2?
  23. Playing a game of demographic math with real life humans as the pawns. It’s really disgusting if you stop and think about it for just a few seconds. I suppose it’s better than than how humans demographics were tried to be shaped 80 years ago by a certain nation/person. But importing an entire group of people based purely on their skin color with the intent of them creating future voters that will ensure your base of power is really not all that far behind on the racist/disgusting scale. Afghanis are small time numbers compared to the potential voter block from central/South America, and I don’t know this for a fact, but would imagine Afghan immigrants in many cases don’t “vote the right way” in future generations. See Cuban immigrants as an example.
  24. Sooo did this program officially die? The first few selected should be in training already right? With the next group about to be selected?
  25. The biggest issue is not the people currently in, it’s recruiting. My IMA gig has an Army Guard guy, and he said in his unit the biggest issue is finding 18-22 year olds that have or are willing to get the vaccine. It doesn’t matter political leanings, upbringing, socio-economic level, potential officer or enlisted, etc…; not that many young people want to get the vaccine at this point.
